Week 4 Sneaky WR Plays (1 Viewer)

With the byes upon us, does anyone have a sneaky WR play for this week? How about Danny Amendola vs Seahawks? Seattle looked horrible against the pass last week (insert Rivers vs Bradford comparision joke here.)

Louis Murphy vs. Arizona
He's not really a sneaky play at this point. --------------------------------------------------------------Stephen Williams vs San Diegoalso, have a hunch on Derrick Mason in PPR. Steelers will be concerned with Boldin after last's weeks performance.

I also would mention Eddie Royal vs. Tenn. Last week Steve Smith (NYG) had 103 yards in the slot, same position that Royal plays.

Steve Johnson v. NYJ.

Revis is almost assuredly going to sit out again. Cromartie will be covering Evans, leaving Kyle Wilson on Johnson. Wilson has struggled and Fitzpatrick has breathed a little life into teh Buffalo passing game.

You'd probably have to be in a deep league to roster him and have some bye week issues to start him, but I think he goes 5-65-1.

:lmao: Williams should be the WR2 with Breaston out. Really considering picking this guy up and starting him in my W/T flex over MSW.

James jones vs det
I was going to post the same. Great match-up vs. DET...With Grant gone and the Pack's reliance on the passing game I think Jones may be a top 40 WR the rest of the way. He was on the field quite a bit against Chicago.

I like the James Jones guess. His role has been growing the past two weeks. The Mike Thomas one concerns me because Garrard stinks and he really stinks when he's on the road.

I'll go with Davone Bess in PPR leagues. NE's secondary has issues and Henne and the Miami passing game looked great against the Jets.

Jax - Indy is in Jacksonville this week (but Gerrard does suck)

My bad. That does give Thomas more hope but Garrard was brutal at home against the Eagles and Thomas did nothing. I'm still leery of him even though Garrard should have to throw it a ton.

1. Darrius Hayward-Bey

26 targets in the last three weeks including 11 in Week 2, granted he only has 140 receiving yards thus far but I think he is due for a big game this week against the league’s worst passing defense in Houston.

2. Stephen Williams

Breaston was putting up some nice stats as a WR2 in the Arizona offense so I expect Stephen Williams to pick up the 6-8 targets and pick up where Breaston left off.

3. James Jones

GB WR3, enough said.

4. Victor Cruz

With Manningham dinged up, can Cruz really carry over his preseason play? Manning should be slinging it against the Bears so who knows.

Devery Henderson. He has been relatively silent the last 2 weeks, is due. Always has a big game and then teases us and vanishes.

Lance Moore just had a monster game, so watch and see he gets 2 catches for 10 yards this week, while Devery turns in a 4/125/2 performance.

wouldn't surprise me. It is his MO.

No concerns with James Jones losing time to Nelson after his game losing fumble?
Only if it becomes a chronic problem. He's the superior talent and he's been playing well. I don't see any change happening in the WR status. Plus, Jones did very well against the Lions last season, scoring in both games.

Henderson was just dropped in our league. I don't know it I can take the risk or not but that would be a great points day.

Amendola, with no STL running game or viable TE

Davone Bess..he averaged 14 targets/game against Pats last year. even with Marshall cutting into that, he should see at least 7 passes Sunday

Im gonna play them both and cover my bases.

Top 3 WW receivers I think could be used this week in a pinch:

1. Lance Moore

2. Amendola

3. Jones (GB)

If those guys are gone I'd suggest Brian Hartline who had 11 targets last week

Jones fumbled in week 2 also... It just wasn't a fumble lost. Then the next game he fumbles and loses the game for his team. It's dangerously close to being "chronic" I'd say.

Arrelious Benn is finally getting some PT and is allegedly getting all the practice snaps at flanker this week. His situation is ripe for a breakout.

I am toying with starting Lee Evans as my flex this week. First, he always has huge games interspersed amongst his 3 for 45 yard games, and he is due this season. Second, the Jets are not a great pass defense if Revis doesn't play.
