Week 4 waiver wire pickups (1 Viewer)

Dalton is actually available too. I havent been rostering a backup since I have Luck, but with all these QBs going down, might be wise to have a good backup.
I read an article that slammed blocking an opponent and playing only to benefit your team. I disagree, especially since you need a back up. Someone wants Dalton, Id take him off the market to hurt one of my opponents for sure.
Dalton or Mariota, who's the better add?
Dalton and it's not close. He's the QB of one of the best teams in the league with multiple weapons. Don't overthink this one. Oh... And he's also one of top fantasy QBs this year.

Let's check back in on this in a few weeks. The red rocket isn't going to sustain this, especially as the temps drop. Not saying Mariota will clearly be better, but A) he's the only thing going on in that offense and B) Dalton has a history of being, well, not great.

Fair enough, but between the two, it's Dalton for me by miles if I'm picking a guy right now.

True. Gotta go with the hotter hand I suppose, and Titans are on bye this week.

Didn't think about the bye, but Cincy's offense is potent. Three legit receivers, one of whom is a true stud #1, a top tier TE, and two quality backs. They also have a D that figures to give the offense an extra possession or two per game. I think the makings are there for Dalton to silence his critics and have a good season all year (barring the dreaded injury bug hitting the team).

Only thing that worries me about Dalton is after KC this week, the next 2 are against Seattle and Buffalo. Not going to be easy games.

Teddy Ginn if he is still out there, it is 3 solid weeks in a row. He seems like a pretty safe WR3 as we approach bye weeks. Rishard Matthews has had another start worthy game as well. If people weren't buying in after 2 weeks, they better start
:goodposting:

Surprised to learn that after Olsen, Ginn is the target leader for Car by a good margin. 28 for Olsen, 22 for Ginn, next closest Funchess with 10.
I picked up Ginn for this reason. He has hands of stone but he is Cam's number two option and number one WR option, so he will continue to have value.
Same here. Missed out on Marvin Jones and Rishard Matthews, and was actually happy to get Ginn.
I got eem. :pickle:

Prolly says something about my season that im pretty stoked to have added Ginn but I'll take it. Is there a Teddy Ginn thread somewhere? :excited:

Dalton finished as QB3 in 2013 - and last season Marvin Jones and Tyler Eifert missed the whole season and AJ Green missed a few games and was less than healthy in a few he played.

RB Charles Sims, Doug Martin had a knee injury in practice today.
Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith said Doug Martin suffered a knee injury at Wednesday's practice.
That would explain Thursday's absence. Smith said Martin "should be OK," and expects him to practice Friday. Even if Martin does suit up for Sunday's game, he's off the RB2 radar. Charles Sims' role should continue to increase. Oct 1 - 3:40 PM

Duke Johnson, Charles Simms, and Christine Michael are all free agents...should I pick up any of these guys over (currently on my roster) Hillman or Starks?

Well I landed Marvin Jones and Rawls this week. Of course today some schmuck dropped Davante Adams. Not sure how much to throw at him but I feel like I gotta make a bid for him. So long Rawls I guess, if thats the case.

If you're in a deep league and got a space you can afford to be wrong on...pick up Wes Welker.

I resisted the urge to throw up after picking up Ted Ginn off waivers, but he's got a great opportunity in Carolina. Got tired of waiting on Tyler Lockett to emerge in Seattle as a WR rather than a great return man.

The moment my waiver claim went through, I took a three-hour shower and spent the entire time scrubbing with steel wool.

Looking for a potential flex for this week and a warm body to replace Andre Johnson on my roster in a 14 teamer.

Thinking one of the Seattle WRs, Cecil Shorts, or Michael Floyd.

Brian Quick going to be back in action, and Chris Givens traded away. Looking to stash Quick - you never know....

Reminds me of Wayne Chrebet. I think teams are not going to sign him b/c they don't want to see him wheeled out in a casket.

Deep reach here, but Brice Butler.

He played nearly the same amount of snaps (35) last week as Terrence Williams (41), and more than Cole Beasley (30). Neither he, nor Williams had a catch, which is a bit of a concern obviously...but the fact that he is getting snaps is a good sign. Solid size/speed combo and always looked good in preseason games with Oakland. Boy's gave up a 5th rounder for Butler and a 6th. He may just now becoming acclimated to the offense. 6'3, 215 lbs, runs in the 4.4 range.

Its a reach, but if he busts out you may want to be on the right side of the bust out. I grabbed him off the WW in a couple deep bench dynasty leagues as a lottery ticket type. Not too many options that are much better in Big D right now. If he is getting snaps, he has a chance.

tried to get an answer on this in another thread. are we certain he's the pickup?
He's had 2 dud games so far, but with Givens being brought in and SS ailing, thinking he'd be a decent WR3 if you need one. Looked good against the Steelers.
See I'm not seeing SSSR being a factor anymore, much less playing. 4 broken ribs is serious ####. And they take 6-8 weeks, not your typical 4-6. It hurts to even breathe deep with that stuff. I know he's a maniac but I'll believe it when I see it.

SO, the question is who is the new #1WR on that team?

Ok guys..............I'm throwing a hail Mary deep.

Who ya got that can be a game changer at RB in 3-4 weeks?

I was slick enough to acquire Ronnie Hillman in every league I am in, and he may be trending towards being startable down the stretch.

Anyone else on a few of you guys' radars that has a good shot at being a difference maker late season?

(I sort of define this as low end RB2 or better...... you know, someone you can start and feel comfortable actually doing so)

I think Antonio Andrews may fit the bill on this, but I haven't gotten him anywhere yet.

TZM

Allen Hurns is the main guy I'm targeting. I don't even need him, but maybe he keeps it up and I can trade him later.

I'm getting absolutely nothing at TE, so I also want to get Julius Thomas and just wait. Unless I work out a trade, I think it's my best chance. Gates is long gone for me
