Week 4 Waiver Wire Watch List (1 Viewer)

Darrin Reaves-RB- Carolina

He and Tolbert are the last men standing. Rivera said it's time for Reaves to "oil it up and play some football"

There's a seperate thread on the guy if you want to do more research. I realize Carolina looked bad, but worth a flier if Stewart and Williams sit.

Any update on Tolbert? Didn't he get injured in last nights game (left with a knee injury)? Last week he got lit up by Fairley as well.

I also think Bortles could put up sneaky Jon Kitna stat lines rest of the way...300 yds 2-3td, 2int and maybe sneak some qb hungry teams into the playoffs...12-14 team leagues plus?

I picked Bortles up and dropped Dalton due to bye week concerns, but, believe me, this thought was in the back of my head when I did it. The Jaguars are in full-swing nothing-to-lose mode and should be playing in a bunch of garbage time. I can fall back on Wilson if necessary, but Bortles could be this year's Foles.

Right on, hes got some wheels too, could see 30-50 yds rushing running for his life every game...

In 2QB leagues, Bortles is going to be a very hot commodity in the leagues where he is not already rostered.

Here's a deeper one...Isaiah Crowell. If you have the bench space, he may be back on the wire. Bye coming up, Tate probably coming back, but he looked more effective than West last game. Could be a good stash with Tate's inj history? Crowell's looked very good in that system. If Taliaferro's still out there, he looked great as well, given against a more porous run D.

problem with Crowell and Taliaferro is they are the 3rd part of the RBBC if everyone is healthy.

Who are we looking at in the San Diego backfield. We know Donald Brown is not the answer.
What makes you say that
He went 31 carries for 62 yards. :o

Even the ploddiest plodder of all plodding time (Asiata) does better than that weekly (~3.0 YPG).
It doesn't matter. A lot of those carriers were for running out the clock. That's a very misleading stat.

Besides, Matthews original time table was 4-6 weeks. I think SD is fine riding Brown until then.

The loss of Woodhead is a different issue though. I wouldn't be surprised if the brought in a smaller, pass catching back.

It's fluid right now, 3rd string in name only. Taliaferro had a huge day, I don't see him riding the pine much longer. Crowell had 5ypc v West 3ypc last week, things are looking up. Again these are deeper stashes but with the way RBs are dropping, definitely worth the add in deeper leagues.

So Pierce or Taliaferro rest of season?
I'm going with the youngin'. Taliaferro looked good, one cut and go. He has pretty good measurables too. Arian Foster 2.0?
Worth using your No. 1 Waiver Wire position on?
Well it depends on your situation, but Taliaferro is Kubiak's pick right? He helped choose him for this system. If I'm hurting at RB I would do it. He's gone in my league already though on the Pierce news Saturday...but I am not a believer in holding #1 priority for some magical pickup that never seems to come. This guys good...

I'm looking at Taliaferro as I've never bought into Pierce as a good back -- 3.8 ypc and 3 rushing TDs on 288 carries. No thanks.

Add in all formats. Should have been scooped up already. Too much potential to pass on. Worth dropping guys in the Stevan Ridley, Pierre Thomas range for. Read about it in literally every WW article.

Technically, Pierce's measerables are more impressive. Taliaferro's edge is that he actually follows his blocks well and seems to have good vision. He's a better fit for the zbs. I still don't expect BAL to sit Pierce outright though, it will take a slew of bad performances sadly.

Luckily, my leagues have deep benches so I got to hang onto him through-out several. I can take the wait and see approach.

Lamichael James is still out there

Fracture - supposedly week to week but won't play Week 4

i need a WR and the pickings are slim. 12 team PPR -- Eddie Royal? Riley Cooper? Stevie Johnson?

Why on earth would anyone want to pick up any Carolina RB?

Deep leagues, limited options, sorry should have prefaced. Worth a lotto ticket.

Any TE ideas? All the usuals like Donnell and Paul are already gone in my league. Just lost both Pitta and Rudolph to go with my Charles/Martin combo. My team is falling apart fast.

Might look to add Green. I don't think Gates went from being a stud to being gone in one week, but I'm hoping it slowly shifts towards Green as the season goes on.

Really not a fan of Owen Daniels as a Pitta replacement, but I might not have a choice.

Who is the backup TE in MIN? I'd think that a TE on a rookie QB's team should do pretty well, but not if the TE has no talent.

Anybody watch the GB game? Is Quarless worth an add? I'm not sure if it's still a committee type thing there or if Quarless has emerged.

They are using Green as a blocker in TE sets primarily although I don't know about Week 3. I think Gates has to get hurt in order for Green to have real value.

Not much this week.

Am i the only one not that excited about taliaferro? Not sure about burning high ww pos for a player we don't even know is going to get ten touches next week

Wr pickings are also slim. I have a rtn yardage league where I am hurting at wr and am considering hester for this week with roddy and douglas hurting

Keep flip-flopping between Hurns and Robinson. Robinson has the targets, but Hurns reminds me of when Antonio Brown played opposite Mike Wallace. Brown was very boom/bust when he started, but he was a guy that created separation often.

Must avoid chasing fool's gold.

Jace Amaro from NYJ is someone you can keep your eye on.

Owen Daniels is your guy here , not even close. BAL uses their TE's and with Pita gone for season OD will be targeted often. Plus he's Kubiak's guy or at least knows his system.
