Week 5 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (5 Viewers)

PPR League. Need three of these: cruddy options:

* M. Carter vs TN -- Good matchup. Even if he splits with Demercado he should get touches.

* T. Franklin @PHI -- Apparently, PHI's top corner will probably shadow Sutton. May be opportunuties. Has had 8 targets in 2 or last 3 games.

* D. Waller @CAR -- Snaps will increase. There are targets available now with Hill out. CAR is the worst in the league covering the TE. This is a total no floor/high ceiling play.

* S. Tucker @SEA -- Tough matchup. Who knows what the split will be with R. White. Convensional wisdom is saying White gets at least 60/40.

* J. Mason @CLE -- Terrible matchup and MN's offensive line is an injury mess. Could be tough sledding especially if he doesn't get any receptions. Floor lower than usual.

* I. Pacheco @ JAX -- Really not a consideration, but he's an option.

RIght now I'm leaning T. Franklin, J. Mason, and M. Carter, but damn am I tempted to roll the dice with Waller.

Which 3?

Thanks

Defense question:

* CLE D vs MN -- Wentz took a lot of sacks last week. Now several Olineman our injured or out. Still has weapons, but CLE D has looked like the best in the league.

or

* AZ D vs TN -- Anyone against TN has been a slam dunk. That said, I'm not a believer that the AZ D is anything more than mediocre and at some point something more than miserable starts clicking with C. Ward. If Ridley is ruled out, maybe that improves things quite a bit.

Which?

I had that very same decision at the beginning of waiver wire week, and I decided to go with the stronger defense Cleveland. Plus the game is in London and the Vikings team has been there for over a week. I figured I might come back with Cleveland more often than I would Arizona. For this particular week, I think it's close to a wash except for whatever tangibles you weigh out.

Need to pick two for a RB and Flex spot. Standard PPR scoring. Thanks!

Javonte Williams @ NYJ
David Montgomery @ Cin
Travis Etienne Jr. vs KC
Alvin Kamara vs NYG

14-team non-PPR, start 2 RB-2 WR-1 WR/TE flex

RB (pick two)
  • Henry vs Hou
  • Javonte @ NYJ
  • Breece vs Dal
This is one of those weeks where it's a real bummer we can't use RBs in our flex. Leaning Henry/Hall although I hate to keep Williams on my bench. I even toyed with the idea of benching Henry for him but I think the Ravens may lean on DH even more with Lamar out.

WR/TE/flex (pick two)
  • Franklin @ Phi
  • Ayomanor @ AZ
  • Juwan Johnson vs NYG
  • Henry @ Buffalo
Like I said, I hate that I can't start the other RB in this spot. Leaning Juwan as my TE because Henry can't keep scoring every single week, plus Buffalo has been shutting down the position (like they did with Johnson last week). For flex, I feel like it's a total coin flip between Ayomanor and Franklin.

12-team PPR, start 2 RB/2 WR/1 flex

Flex (pick one)
  • White @ Sea
  • Jamo @ Cinci
  • Godwin @ Sea
  • Carter vs Tenn
My heart says Jamo is due for his breakout, but my head says White is the safer option

Forgot about the London situation. That makes me a little nervous. Never know how a team will react to all that travel.

Need a TE in NON-PPR redraft league:

Hockenson overseas vs Browns
Fannin Jr overseas with rookie QB vs Vikings
Mason Taylor vs Cowboys
