Week 5 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Portis was kind of favoring his right ankle on the sidleines about twenty minutes ago. looked like he was trying to roll it out so maybe it was a calf cramp. However, I've been watching the Panthers game so I don't know what happened after that. Two gimp looking deals for Portis today, shoulder and lower right leg. Don't panic though, just telling you what I saw. maybe another poster can say what happened with Portis after the leg deal. Probably nothing and he came back in.

Lions RB K. Jones down after a BIG hit in the fourth quarter. Looks like a head/neck injury. EDIT: Walked off under his own power.

fitzgerald hurt, think its his ankle again just caught the end of what they said, not sure if he will return
Fitz return is questionable. He's on the bench with what the announcer said "hamstring". He has it wrapped and looked dissappointed.I didn't see the play where he was injured.

Fargas in this series, anyone know if L.Jordan is hurt?
I believe I saw Lamont pass blocking on the last play of the drive (interception). We'll see in a minute, but I think they're giving Fargas a series here in there.

Im 90% sure Gore just did a flying chest bump with Hicks after the TD so he should be ok. Its just a shame cuz it was a set up screen pass and who knows what happens if he wasnt pulled for the injury for that play.

Fargas got a few more carries on the next drive, but now Lamont back in. Who knows. Al Davis is probably calling personel and plays.

1-10-KC 13 (2:31) D.Huard pass short left to L.Johnson to ARZ 9 for 78 yards (A.Rolle). KC-L.Johnson was injured during the play. PENALTY on ARZ-A.Rolle, Face Mask (15 Yards), 5 yards, enforced at ARZ 9.

Announcer> "They are reporting LJ has a sprained neck."

IMO, he'll be ok. They're icing it on the bench. Probably done for the day. ~90seconds left in regulation. KC up by 3.

Didnt see it posted, and have yet to see him back in there, but...

Antonio Bryant (SF) was rocked and wabbled a bit after recovering an onside kick. Not sure he will see anymore plays anyway due to them being up.

Cardinals coach Dennis Green said Sunday that WR Larry Fitzgerald's hamstring injury "looks like it’s going to be fairly serious."

Owners of Fitzgerald should be bracing for the pro bowl receiver to miss some time, but they should also grab slot WR Bryant Johnson as quickly as possible off the waiver wire. Johnson caught 6 passes for 82 yards Sunday and was routinely targeted once Fitzgerald left. He did drop another key pass, but fantasy owners should not hesitate to immediately plug him into starting lineups if Fitzgerald cannot play.

NipAny post game coverage on "The Larry's"?(Fitz/Johnson)   :banned:
Larry was interviewed in the locker room after the game. Reporters asked him about his neck because they saw him grimacing when he was getting dressed. He said his neck and back hurt a bit, but that it wasn't much different from any other Sunday, and thought he'd be fine. They took X-Rays, won't know results until tomorrow. He wasn't wearing anything on his neck, looked normal. He said he asked to be put back in the game at the goal line after he was out for that one play, but they said no way.

:banned: Thanks for the AWESOME post!!! Seriously, very appreciated since I can't get the slightest bit of KC coverage here in Chicago. I hope he's doing well - with the Ahman injuries, all I freakin' need is to lose my super stud RB...

Will Witherspoon was injured today.. Anyone know if it was serious..
If this is the injury your refering to in the 2nd Quarter:1-10-GB40 (3:27) (Shotgun) N.Herron left end to GB 46 for 6 yards (V.Adeyanju). SL-W.Witherspoon was injured during the play.

It seems like he was back in late in the 4th:

2-10-GB46 (2:35) (Shotgun) N.Herron left end to SL 48 for 6 yards (J.Butler, W.Witherspoon).
