Week 5 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Gronk was crying a few seasons ago and only missed a few weeks.  Not saying ODB isn’t done (that didn’t look normal) but these guys don’t always know at that point.
I wish I had better news brohan but this guy is done

Fibula isn't the worst news but Giants 0-5 probably means they ain't rushing him back this year. Why win at this point when you have a QB on his last legs and a QB rich draft upcoming?

I don't think they know if there is ligament damage yet.
Yup.

Ligament and soft tissue damage often come from a broken bone.  Also, we have no idea the kind of fracture and where on the fibula it was.  In other words, way to premature to say this is injury is clear of long term issues.

They were showing it in slow motion on the NFL Network.  Could be a career ended for Odell.

Packers' Jordy Nelson: May have been injured late

By RotoWire Staff

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Nelson "was being evaluated" during the team's game-winning drive in Sunday's 35-31 victory over the Cowboys, Mike Clemens of 105.7 FM The Fan reports.

Nelson was noticeably absent for the game's critical juncture, though the Packers never actually reported an injury. He finished with two catches for 24 yards and a touchdown on four targets, appearing to handle his usual workload until the very end of the game. Geronimo Allison likely would join Davante Adams and Randall Cobb in three-wide sets if Nelson were to miss a Week 6 road game against the Vikings. The team's failure to report an injury suggests Nelson's ailment isn't too serious. He did play just seven snaps against the Falcons in Week 2 when he suffered a thigh injury in the first quarter.

Chiefs' Travis Kelce: Under evaluation for concussion

By RotoWire Staff

Kelce exited Sunday's game to be evaluated for a concussion, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.

Kelce briefly exited the game in the first half and returned shortly thereafter, but hasn't been seen for the entirety of the second half. While we likely won't be seeing any more of him for the remainder of Sunday's game, it's no sure thing he'll be able to play in Week 6 either, since Kelce may need to clear concussion protocol in order to take the field.

Jordy Nelson - WR - Packers

NFL Network's Michael Silver reports Jordy Nelson sat out the final drive of the Packers' Week 5 win because of a hamstring injury.

The Packers did not announce an injury for Nelson after the game, but he would not have missed what ended up being the game-winning drive unless he was suffering from something. That said, the issue could end up being minor. The practice reports this week should tell the story.
