Week 5 potential shootout games (1 Viewer)

Sheesh, really on Balt/Denver? I was looking for an Orton replacement this week, but maybe he does well enough to start him

Based on the fact that Balt only has 1 int this year and they will be without Ed Reed. Orton is airing it out as he leads the league in passing yards. Den has no running game. Balt is also a passing team now.

Didn't know about the Ed Reed thing. Hasn't Baltimore only allowed 1 TD through the air this year, though?

Baltimore is one of the top passing Ds in the league, I wouldn't be so sure this breaks into a shootout. GB @ Washington has shootout written all over it. Washington runs a zone defensive scheme and good QBs like Rodgers (and Manning the following week) will eat it alive. The Skins will have to pass a lot to stay anywhere close.Stl @ Det, I agree.I could see the Giants @ Houston game blowing up the scoreboard.

I expect Orton to sling it 50 times vs Balt. Denver is certainly not going run the ball with Maroney (2 yards per carry?). I expect alot of WR formations with Lloyd, Royal, Gaffney and D. Thomas with play action dumping off to Buck.I expect Flacco to sling it and test Denver's aging secondary with a banged up Rice/McGahee.

Baltimore has played Charlie Batch,Carson Palmer, Mark Sanchez (before he broke out) and Seneca Wallace. The Balt secondary is very weak. But The pass rush can cancel that out. Hopefully Orton keeps it up

Good call on KC vs Colts....

Looks like Garcon will play.

Also, Colts SS Melvin Bullitt is out for the year (broken shoulder).

KC's had a couple weeks to get ready for this one.

surprisingly Baltimore is #1 in passing yardage allowed at 119yds/game although some might be attributed to the QBs they have faced. I am not saying that changes anything as Denver will clearly come out chucking but interesting to point out.

Detroit moved the ball pretty well against them.

GB can't really run the ball too well, and Washington is pretty good at stopping the run.

Washington will most likely have to pass a lot to keep up with a GB team that likes to/has to throw it a ton.

Bal is without Rice too. McGahee and McLain are perhaps enough to keep defenses honest but i would exepct them to be more of a step/decoy fo benefit the passing game

Ray Rice isn't out. He played vs Pitt and came out of it OK.
