Week 6 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

What a week to go against Aaron Rodgers AND Jordy Nelson. :ptts:

ETA: I play in 5 leagues. Going against Rodgers in 3 of them. :help:

Starting Roddy White and Matt Ryan (bye week)... panthers CBs blatantly interfere with Roddy on TWO touchdown passes, making it impossible for him to catch them. One of which would have been for about 50 yards. Rigged (joke).

 
The Carolina RB situation needs a Magic 8-Ball to figure out. Unlike previous years, starting both of them is only an option if you like to lose.

 
I'm sure I'm overreacting, but I've been disappointed overall this year with Roddy White. Maybe part of it is Ryan and i know two TDs today could have happened if it weren't for pass interference calls, but I was really expecting a heck of a lot more from him at this point.

He is a mid-tier WR2 at this point... with downside IMO. Obviously, WAY off his ADP. Pretty much a terrible draft choice, given his late first round ADP.
 
Opponent has Bradshaw (3 TD) and Fred Jackson. . .I have Steve Johnson and the WSH defense. Oh well.

Agreed. And after the obvious two WRs (Johnson and Johnson) I really thought this would be White's year. He has really sucked. If he can't put up good numbers at home against Carolina, I don't think he will all year long.BTW - Lover the username of yours. You need to come to the FFA board and talk hoops with us.

I think he'll have a few nice games, but much rather have guys like Green, Maclin, even Julio.Yeah, I am stoked for BBall season... going to be fun, especially since I am living in Chapel Hill. Late Night with Roy was awesome. Anyhow, I'll stop hijacking the thread and will definitely will join you guys for bball.GL w Roddy for the rest of the day... hopefully we get SOME production before this is over!

Ditto. "The" play was worth 25+ points in our league. Meanwhile starting scrubs wrs with VJ, Bowe and AJ on the bench.ETA: Am employing rent-a-defense. Was leaning toward Cinci, chose Minnesota instead. My opponent then picked up and started Cinci. That right there was the proverbial final nail.

Had a TD pass by Vick overturned and ruled down at the one. McCoy gets the rushing TD. My opponent started McCoy.

Manningham TD overturned and down at the one.

Last week went from a tie to a loss when a sack was taken away from the Tennessee defense.

Not a fun week.

 
add/drop ended half hour before shanahan announce torain was starting, I still rolled Hightower out for a goose egg and now seeing Tate getting goal line carries on my bench.

 
Of course my opponent started A.Benn in addition to Bradshaw, F.Jackson and Rodgers.

Also DeAngelo Williams really can be waived for a backup kicker at this point. He's worthless.

Hate to kick while your down but he had his year...it was 2010.

Anyway...where do I begin....this has to be the least amount of fun in my 22 plus years of playing this silly game.

I think I am finally over FF....big time. It has become...I don't know stale? A lot of skill in winning was information....well everyone has access to that now. Then talent evaluation. Usually it has never let me down....but then you get those damn injuries. AJ, Charles, Peyton..my list is endless this season.

I think I need to take a break....a long one.

Needed a bye week fill-in at TE. Wrestled between Jake Ballard and Ben Watson.

Went with Watson, on targets. Goose egg so far, only one target halfway through the third.

Two Words - Peyton Hillis, Pat Shurmur

Three RBs I had a lot of draft interest in - Ingram, Hillis, and Charles.

They are killing my squads.

Just would love for Hillis to be shipped to a place like Tampa this week

Hillis Killed me. KILLED ME.

I somehow still had a shot... Until dallas couldn't stop brady in the last 2 minutes of the game... that gave me the Loss. In two different leagues..

Eli manning getting screwed out of some TDs wasn't very helpful for me either...

:goodposting: Had SJax in until Schefter tweeted Torain was the starter and getting the lion's share of the carries. Guess I should have remembered his QB is Grossman. Had I not made the switch, would be in a virtual tie with my opponent having the Bears D and me have Santonio remaining. If the Vikes can channel last week's effort, I may have a fighting chance.
 
Played Hightower in 7 leagues lost in 1 of them by 7 pts with Stewart on my bench.

Opponent gets every bit of luck, I can't buy any luck. He gets 6 combined tds from Rodgers and Bradshaw - I get Rice losing goal line touches to Flacco and Williams or Leach...Felix being fragile...oh well I lost the battle to the other 5-0 team...so much for my run at a perfect season.

 
Stuck with Manningham for another week and I started Eli.

2 double TDs barely missed!

Also started Hillis, too. :wall: :rant:

Harvin's last catch gave my opponent the win by 1.2 point. He had the highest score of the week, while I watched my second-highest score fall short. Screw the Vikings and Percy Harvin. Hope they go 1-15. Couldn't have pulled Harvin one drive earlier, with the team losing by 29 in the middle of the 4th quarter?

My first 2 picks in one league Roddy White and Mendenhall. Mendenhall on my bench against this tough Jags run defense. Started Benson instead against the soft indy defense-You know the one Battle ran all over last week. Would of won with Mendenhall. Did I mention I drafted big Ben in the same league? Now 2-4

 
Saints DST....you suck for real as well as for fantasy. Have fun w/ another early exit (if you even get there) from the playoffs w/ that bogus defense full of guys afraid to tackle

 
My team could score the most points on any given Sunday, but after McFadden I can never start the right people.

- Benched Mendenhall after a string of bad starts and rumors he wasn't going to play. Ooof.

- Played Vernon Davis. Benched Pettigrew.

- Started Cam Newton for the first time instead of Brees. Both put up stinkers though.

- Started David Nelson, again, for the last time, again.

- Houston defense without Super Mario. :thumbdown:

 
Greg Little. Had to go out of bounds on the 1 foot line? Gonna cost me my game you as* crack.

In other news, I hate my team. They're all a bunch of underachievers. Every week i see these high scoring fantasy games and none of my players are EVER involved.

 
Last min switch from Dalton (9pts) to Campbell (-2) with Rivers on bye. Now down 8 and need 60 with a touch from LT2. Arrrrgh

 
Sheesh. I've got a good team. Real pleased with it, overall. Coming into the week my opponent had virtually thrown in the towel. After 1:00 games I came into 4:00 with my big guns loaded and 70 points to make up. :cool:

Who the heck would have figured on a Defensive game in New England??? :wall:

 
Hillis, white, finley. Combined 9.5 points. Not to mention it looks like I'll go from 3-0 to 3-3. I have marshal in tonight, which means burres will explode my bench.
