Week 6 Waiver Wire Sleepers (1 Viewer)

Desperate times, desperate measures. Here's a few waiver wire pickups that I thought of for those that are low on QBs or RBs this week. Jerome Wright (vs Miami) and Kurt Warner (vs Car) would be great starts if you can snag them, but they've been snapped up already in my league. Feel free to add more or discuss.

QBs: Brodie Croyle(KC) vs Cincy (if Huard is out)

Gus Ferrotte(STL) @ Baltimore - Baltimore can be thrown on.

RBs:

Musa Smith(BAL) vs St Louis - could possibly be a rout and Smith gets garbage time carries.

Mike Karney(NO) @ Seattle - Can he repeat Davenport's performance against Seattle last week? Seems to be getting the goal lines in NO.

WRs:

(Edited to add) Just looked at the thread above, and noted that Deion Branch is out. Bobby Engram and Nate Burleson would be good spot starts since they're also playing New Orleans.

musa smith? does baltimore blowout anybody? and you also recommended frerrotte because baltimore can be thrown on?

- Syd Rice, WR, MINN -- Minny may get behind Chicago and need to throw alot., plus Tarvaris is back for Week 6.

- Roscoe Parrish, WR, BUFF -- The rook QB looks to him alot as his checkdown, shorter yardage WR. But he's on bye week 6.

- Booker, WR, MIA -- Cleo targeted him a ton once he came into the game for Green. Lemon pretty much ignored Chambers. Not sure why...

- Northcutt, WR, JAX -- Seems to be emerging as the #1 there and favorite target of Garrard.

- Griese, QB, CHI -- I actually think he can have a decent game against MINN's Pass DEF. Minn great against the run, so CHI will throw more.

Just a few options from me...

Nitty

good stuff NN. i was going to suggest Booker..and i had forgotten about S Rice due to the bye week. thanks.ill throw out Lance Moore for NO. Has started to see some looks and the staff seems fed up with Hendersons crucial drops..

Morency in PPR leagues. Did well last week and his role may increase.
Any thoughts on waiver wire defenses for this week, and going forward.WAS - good going fwd, awful this week (at GB)ARZ - suspect going fwd, good this week (CAR and Carr at ARZ)ATL - ? / NYG at ATL??? yikesSTL - awful going fwd, they do get Baltimore which is good for turnovers (at BAL though)CLE - not going fwd, but get Mia this week at CLENOR - awful going fwd, awful at SEA this week, just awfulDET - mixed going fwd, bye week this weekBUF - MNF anamoly, bye week this weekSF - good going fwd (mostly points given, not turnovers), bye week this weekPHI - mixed going fwd, at the Jets this week... so that is very 50/50 IMHOHOU - decent going fwd, pending matchups, ...this week at JAX, that O doesn't scare me

:goodposting: In the Green Bay game, Griese threw a lot to the TE's...and he used to play with Desmond Clark in Denver. So Desmond Clark might be a decent spot start even though he splits time with Olsen. As for Musa, yeah, you're right about that. Baltimore does not blow people out, so maybe we can scratch him from the list. I'm in a league where people snatch every running back up given the opportunity, so I thought he could be a decent spot start. I still think Bal can be thrown on, but obviously Ferrotte is an option for those really desperate at QB.Kevin Faulk might be a decent choice...All I know is he catches a lot of passes. I honestly haven't had a chance to watch NE play that much with Maroney out, so anyone with any input might want to chime in.

I would either go ARZ or HOU. I'd probably pick ARZ this week...you have Carr at QB and Foster's been fumbling the ball every once in a while.

Arizona against Carr is looking great this week in my opinion.

Always love your posts, for the Scarlett-nod.Regarding Arizona... I thought was too juicy, but you HAVE to think Carolina is going to figure out how to get Steve Smith back to "Steve Smith".... it could get ugly... but yes, Carr is good for 2 INTs, perhaps a fumble. Fear is a shootout (points yielded) given the Arizona offense (esp. if Boldin is back).

I'm keeping my eye on Rice, but is the bolded portion really positive news for him? :pokey:
