Week 7 Stat Corrections (1 Viewer)

Pittsburgh defense might get an interception for the final play of the game. (It was ruled an interception by the referees, but the box score called it an incomplete pass.)

I noticed the Favre to Harvin pass early on (it was ruled a TD, got challenged and brought to the 1.5 yard line) was ruled a lateral and run, and looked very close to a potential forward pass.

Could be a biggie for a tight Favre or Harvin game.

When do stat corrections occur? My leagues all show 41/1 rushing, 65 receiving for Harvin.

Thursday Morning usually.

Looks like it was the beginning of the 2nd quarter. Ruled a 12 yard run for Harvin. I could see it potentially being reversed to a 12 yard pass from Favre to Harvin. Just on first glance, the lateral was very parallel. Just saying -- its a POTENTIAL change. Your stats are in line with the NFL Gamebook. 41 rushing, and 5 catches for 65.

What kind of points do you need to hope for a change to?

They're usually released on Wednesday afternoon, but not all leagues will recognize the changes automatically. If you're an MFL commissioner, you have to manually click For Commissioners -> Statistics Changes to add the changes. To view the changes in MFL, click Help->Strange Plays-> Official Statistics Changes.

The NFL has changed a stat from a play in Sunday's Bills-Ravens game, so Fitzpatrick now has 382 passing yards instead of 374, BuffaloBills.com reports.
The NFL has changed a stat from a play in Sunday's Bills-Ravens game, so Parrish now has 57 receiving yards instead of 49, BuffaloBills.com reports.

TOTALLY. I lost my game 463-462 and owned Favre and Harvin. Changing it would give me an easy victory with 75 yard receiving bonuses amongst other things. Hoping for a miracle when I wake up tomorrow morning. I was disappointed they called that play a rush.

I couldn't imagine having to wait until Thursday of each week for FF scores to be finalized.

Or perhaps I'm missing the point here... do you guys actually retroactively adjust scores (if applicable) based upon Thursday stat reviews, or is just for the sake of "oh by the way" and treated like a missed call?

All the reputable fantasy sites will fix the stats according to the NFL's official rulings. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want the correct scores for their fantasy games.

That's not true... or maybe MFL.com isn't reputable? We have the option to manually go back an adjust scores later in the week, but we don't do it.Our league voted on this issue, and it was unanimous in favor of FF scores becoming final when the NFL games are final (approximately one hour after the final gun).

That's just us though... not hatin'... I just didn't realize that leagues actually adjusted scores 3-4 days after the action is over. Must really put a muffler on the Monday morning water-cooler bragging. :lmao:

I didn't say that all the fantasy sites will fix the stats automatically. MFL is one of the few sites that gives you the option.

Who would want to brag about a win that came as a result of a typo? Are you a "card says moops" kinda guy?

Clearly I was politely saying that you can do whatever the *bleep* you want.I've been in a lot of leagues over a lot of years, and none of them ever required me to wait until the following Thursday to decide the "official" outcome.

There is rarely an impactful change, first of all.

Secondly, its a simple as if it is in your league rules, you care. If it isn't, you don't.

I remember sometime around 2002 or 2003, there was a 50 yard Tom Brady to Kevin Faulk touchdown pass that was changed to a Faulk run (via lateral). You wouldn't want those points scored correctly in your league? We did, and did, and it stayed in our league rules until then.

We don't automatically apply the changes, but if it changes the outcome of the week's matchups, we address it. At kickoff of the following week, all results and numbers from the previous week are locked, so no more stat changes. We leave the onus on the owners to seek out the numbers via Elias Sports Bureau if they want a change in their matchup.

I lost in week 6 by .48, and was damn sure waiting for those changes thursday morning. Alas, none came for my players.

I've already lost 2 games on Thursday stat correction :lmao:

MFL also gives you the option of having them applied automatically. I've never heard of a league ignoring changes as long as they're done before before the start of the next game. But you play the way that's best for you, of course.

I would say you lost on Sunday, but the stats didn't reflect that until Thursday. Still tough to take those losses, so I sympathize. But at least you know that, in reality, the other team won fair and square.
