Week 7 Suicide Pick Strategy (1 Viewer)

I was all pumped going into week 7 as the only one in my poll having Dallas available to use...now, not so much. I still think they'll win the game, but I don't think I have enough confidence to pick them with Johnson under center. So who are you guys looking at this week? Tampa at home vs Seattle looks like the early pick for me. Not much else I like this week at all.

If your not scared of road teams, I think Pittsburgh is as safe a bet as there is this week. Otherwise, I think Houston is the pick. Its between one of them for me, leaning Pittsburgh. Wouldnt take them if Palmer was starting, but I just dont see Ryan Fitzpatrick beating the Steelers.

Teams I like, in order:

1. Tampa Bay (Seattle is a mess)

2. Pittsburgh (Cincy is a mess, too)

3. Houston (Detroit on the road...yuk)

Games that feel like traps:

1. Dallas/St. Louis (Romo and Jones injured)

2. Tennessee/KC (the Titans are gonna lose at some point)

3. Jets/Oakland (I think Oakland will play them tough)

I wouldn't touch Pittsburgh. Taking a road team vs. a divisional rival looking for their first win feels like a classic trap game

I've got this week narrowed down to NYG, Tampa, and Houston. Now the hard part....

How bout Washington? Coming off a loss, looking for vengance, at home against an emotionally high Browns team on a short week of practice.

Is there a better home game for the 'skins on the schedule moving forward? Portis looks good.

NEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVER take a road team in a Survivor competition!!!!!!!

Wasn't Monday's Browns-Giants debacle enough to convince you of that?

Even taking a mediocre team at home, coming off a tough road game, is a nice momentum-changer in the up-and-down NFL world!

Having said that ... I like HOUSTON this week! (and yes, I'm still among the 70+ survivors in the suicide pool).

I do think Dallas absolutely has to win this game with their upcoming schedule before the bye. If they lose to St. Louis they could be looking at 4-5 going into their bye week because I don't see them beating either Tampa or NYG without Romo.

I wouldn't mess with DAL this week unless you have to

Generally agree, but only because it gets more play than warranted. Before Romo's injury and Pacman's suspension, Dallas would have been a valid play because a whole lot of people already burned them in week 5I went with Houston in FBG because as bad as Detroit has been, losing Williams can only make them worse. Houston is better than a 1-4 teamI'm taking Tampa in my Marchpool Suicide. The only drawback is that only a handfull of fellow survivors have used Tampa, so even if they win I'm probably sharing them with a lot of people. But there's no other good spot for them until week 17 which by then It'll either be over or the survivors will have negotiated a split. Before the Browns-Giants game I was looking at Washington. The fumble runback was at least a ten point play for St Louis, otherwise the Skins win comfortably, so I'm not downgrading them because of the loss, but Cleveland deserves a reevaluation. Also by week 15 the road game vs. CIN might be a better option then the Home Dogs and teams that are only favored because there home. (If the Indy that played last week keeps showing up, I'll use them before wk 15)

I said it 2 weeks ago about Dallas, and it's been justified with Romo. Don't worry about saving teams. Things change too quickly. Let the other pickers be clever taking that longer shot.

So my pick is TB. Seattle traveling cross country is a poor team even without the injuries. With them...

Thoughts on the Giants? I like teams that lose on MNF to bounce back at home, and the 49ers are still a bad team.

Surprised you still have them. By all means. And pronto, the only soft home spot they have left is Baltimore, which I'd be leery of (Really good defenses put teams in position to win games they have no right to win).

I am using the Gmen in one pool. Only one left who still has them. I think they come out and crush.Drinking the TB Kool Aid in the other pool Im in. I kind of like Washington, I think they are fired up and this is one of their "easier" games.

Torn between Pittsburgh and Houston.....leaning toward Houston @home. I looked down the schedule and this looks to be the best time to play Houston if you are going to.

Cincy goes into Pittsburgh in Week 12. Palmer may be back by then, although if the Bengals were smart, they'ed shut him down by then (If they haven't already). Easier spot, I think. Depending on how big your pool is, it could be over by then
