Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups (1 Viewer)

Assuming Murray misses significant time I'd much rather spend pennies on Tanner than go all out for Felix Jones. Felix has shown he can't stay on the field in this game already.

As for Skelton add...

Rotoworld:

Deep in the fourth quarter, Kolb got planted to the ground by two Bills and was in a ton of pain. It certainly had the look of a rib fracture as he was helped off. Expect the results of Kolb's X-rays to be revealed by Monday afternoon at the latest.

Edelman may be worth a pick-up...he began practicing this week so the guess is he will be back next week...he was getting a decent amount of looks pre-injury and if Lloyd is out he could put up some numbers...

Washington WR Josh Morgan - Rat Face seems hell bent on justifying this kid's contract. Garcon has become a weekly headache on whether he will start or not. I think he continues to get snaps over the more useful Hankerson because of said contract.
It would be nice if statements like this were made with SOME type of actual knowledge.Morgan is almost impossible to take off the field because of his great blocking ability down-field. He was absolutely essential to tonight's win, and its something Shanahan values very highly. But yeah, I'm sure its just his contract.

Not sure what his role will be with Hernandez back.

chris johnson

naw, I'm just kidding --- I wouldn't pick him up

but hill might be a good one since he draws the pats next week

make that both hills

and kerley

Someone cut Greg Jennings in my 12 team league last week ... we'll see if he comes back soon enough to be startable down the stretch. But wow cutting Nelson?

They were negative, but he's sore as heck. Bruised ribs and sternum, hurts to even breathe right now.

I'm also interested to see the severity of Murray's injury.

I have the #1 waiver wire in my pocket (started out at #11), and I'm waiting to unleash it.

I may pass on Jones, based on his own injury history. Perhaps Philip Tanner for those deep leagues?

If you haven't already, I'd launch the preemptive Vincent Brown pickup, as well as filling the back-end of your rosters with backup backs, who if the 1st string gets injured, he could hit BIG (Pearce, Wilson, Brown, Hillman, Turbin, etc.)

OP suggestion: Link the previous 6 weeks WW threads in the OP. So we can see who talks out their ###, and who is actually making reasoned analysis, particularly adept at finding mismatches etc. Mebbe even the BLSH thread

I'm in the same boat and there is no one on the waivers this week that I feel comfortable burning my #1 waiver on.If Murray were out for a longer period of time (3-5 weeks) then I'd probably jump on Felix. But given that Murray will likely be back soon I don't want to waste it.Other than him there is no one I feel worth losing first spot in my waiver wire order for.

My league is fairly competitive, but it's not uber competitive. Still I was surprised to see the following players released to the waiver wire the past couple days:

Alex Green

Jonathan Stewart

Ben Tate

I have Arian Foster, so Tate interests me as a handcuff.

Anyway, the point you ask? Maybe this is one of the week's where desparation sets in and you hang tight and see what shakes loose before diving in.

Murray is not coming back soon ... he's got ligament damage in his foot

Would the Victor Cruz of this year please stand up? I need some serious help with WR depth and lost out on Hartline and James Jones. Picked up Kerley, but was never too excited about some small Jets WR that doesn't get Red Zone targets.
