Week 8 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

David Carr goes out. Sage Whosyourmama throws three TDs.

I picked Reggie Williams over Antonio Bryant.

Lost by 2. Damnit.

Started Tatum and Berrian. Again a player i start has his team score 30+ pts on the week while he doesn't do jack ####.

-Tatum & Gore I started. Gore over Fred Taylor. Tatum = 2pts thanks shanny.

-Berrian...2nd week I started him...another stellar performace. Your team scores 41pts and you get me 41yds.

-Broncos D...thanks for the goose egg.

Oh yea, i lost to the guy who started HANK BASKETT...he also had Wayne Heap and Palmer.

=====

keeper league my entire team scored double digit points ( cept my D who goose egged & kaeding who got 8 )....funny part..i was up 40 before the 4pm games started.....

He has LT Burress and Vinateri. 155-88 ( i got glenn still going )

Yea i had it with FF this year. Same #### week in week out.

Entire team (

My QB Manning 1/25 3 pt TDs throwing to his WR Wayne 1/10 6 pt TDs :wall: Couldn't Manning find someone else?
Not when your opponent has both along with Colston and Desmond ClarkIn the other league, my opponent's LJ scored 1 less point than my entire team.

Started T.Bell (27 yards) and Travis Henry (29 yards) over A.Green (133 total yards and 2 TD).

Started C.Pennington (108 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT) over Plummer (174-1-0 + a rushing TD) :bag:

Traded W.Lundy (149 total yards) and C.Johnson (78 yards, 1 TD) for Torry Holt (48 yards) :wall:

He has M.Vick, LT, and Desmond Clark. :yucky:

Needless to say I'm losing 107 to 62.

Unless Watson goes off Monday Night (fat chance), I was just done in by M. Barber's two garbage TDs. Unbelievable.

Our league allows for a 2 TE set...originally had Shockey and Clark both in. Swapped Clark out for Mason. :wall:Edit: This little move cost me 14 pts...I am down 8 pts with Glenn and Kasay left, and he has Delhomme and Carolina's Defense.
Lost by 10 pts!!! :wall:I had the Kasay/Delhomme combo left in another leauge, and only needed 3 pts...I think I just made it....

Benched Vick for Palmer... Vick is notorious for flopping a game after he does well... I know I have had him for 3 years now.

But I played Reggie Wayne... so to the Broncos, who deserved to lose... a big

F-YOU! you suck... friggen donkeys... wanna bees for HOW LONG NOW?

OK, so here's my team in a 12-team redraft.....

QB - Eli & Bledsoe

RB - Tiki, Westbrook & Dillon

WR - Andre Johnson, Roy Williams, Branch, Jennings & Cotchery

TE - Antonio Gates

K - rotated in a few guys, currently Tynes

IDP - Ray Lewis, Cato June & Richard Marshall (return yards 1pt/20)

This is a pretty dang good team and before this week was leading the league in points.

I'LL BE F-ING 4-4 AFTER THIS WEEK!!!!!!

For the second week this year, my opponent has put up the league's top score. I have never finished below 6th in the weekly scoring and yet manage to play one of the top 2 scores half of the time. All of my losses have been to my opponents best week. I won this league last year, so I guess it's just that whole, "everyone is gunning to beat the champions" thing is going on here.

The saga continues. This week I had the 3rd highest score and lost to the team with the 2nd highest score.

For the year, I drop to 1-7 despite having the 4th (out of 12) highest scoring team...but I am dead last in points allowed by almost 100 points.

What is really sad is that in order to make the playoffs I would have to win the remaining five games...but my startings qbs are Hasselbeck, Leftwich, and Alex Smith. Throw in a couple IDP injuries and I am seriously facing the potential for a 2 or 3 win season despite a top 5 points finish.

When the losing streak started I was pissed, now it is almost comical to watch teams explode each week they play me. It is a perfect storm.

We have a guy in our league who is 4th in points and 0-8. He has 701 points against in a league that averages 65 points a game per team. He is averaging 88 points against per game. He wants to rename himself the Cardinals.

At least I can take solace that I am not the only one getting bit by the bear this year.

Heres my 1-7 team:

QB: Grossman

RB1: Ronnie Brown

RB2: Kevin Jones

WR1: L Coles

WR2: D Mason

TE: Alex Smith

K Akers

My bench RBs are F Gore and Wille Parker

I have the highest scored against in the league, more than 150 points than the next team

You know... I wonder what is the most overrated team one could put together in terms of where players were drafted versus how they are performing. What is the most under-achieving team possible?

QB: Daunte Culpepper

RB: Shaun Alexander

RB: Edgerrin James

WR: Chris Chambers

WR: Randy Moss

TE: Ben Watson

K: Neil Rackers

DEF: Carolina

I think that team might be 0-8.

Unless Chester Taylor scores 50, this team will be 1-7. I keep shaking my head when I look at the roster:

(ppr, dynasty)

QB: P Rivers, A Walter

RB: C Taylor, W Parker, C Benson, L Washington, W Lundy, J Fargas, Mike Robinson, Moats

WR: Chad Johnson, C Chambers, Matt Jones, Greg Jennings, R Parrish, Vincent Jackson, Nate Burleson (damn you Nate!!!)

TE: Randy McMike, Wilcox

Gostkowski and the Pats D

Had Tiki until last week - got a guy's first rounder next year and C Benson for it. That pick as of now will be a top 5 pick. That's a little bit of consolation for me, I guess :(

QB: Delhomme

WR: Ward

WR: Bryant

WR: Kennison

RB: Rudi

RB: C. Taylor

TE: Tony G.

UTIL: McGahee

(They said to choose 3 RB's first and foremost, they were wrong.)

12 team league

1-7, out of the playoffs with one more loss.

Are we really to believe that when Tomlinson scored 4 TDs, Holt scored 3 TDs, Steve Smith had 189 yards and a TD, Roy Williams had 161/1 and McNabb had 247/2 and Kevin Jones had 163/1 that you weren't in the top three scorers in your league?

1-7 after dominating last year. 10 team redraft. Will be the first time I've ever finished last in the division,

Vick (Culpepper, Pennington)

TJones, CTaylor (Fred Taylor, MJD)

Coles, Muhammad, RMoss (Driver, Fitzgerald)

Anderson (Vanderclank)

Panthers (Jets)

Have made several trades to get here. Some good, some not. Mathematically still have a shot, but realistically my FF season ends at week 8.

On the bright side............

There is no bright side.

Yesterday I was tied and had Holt & Moss versus Dillon.

Today Holt & Moss 6pts. Dillon 2 pts.

WTG PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going into the Monday night game, I was up 145.15 to 140.60 with Longwell left for me and Chad Jackson for him. 1 stinkin' point for Longwell and 8 for Jackson because his 1 catch happened to go for a TD thanks to horrible tackling by the Vikes.

Also bet the over (38.5) and the guy who intercepted the last pass doesn't know how to run it back for a TD. Hmmm, let's see, I could keep running down the sideline with my blocker and only have to worry about the QB or I could cut to the middle of the field where 3 Vikings are waiting for me. Idiot!

Thank you Leinart and Boldin for that great effort vs that stiff GB pass defense. :wall:

You two helped me down my record to 3-5

Willie
