Weekly games like Draft Kings (1 Viewer)

I have been thinking I might come out of retirement to do some weekly game drafts. I see some of these sites, like Draft Kings, have paid out a ton of money and it looks to be getting bigger every year. I am assuming some here play and was wondering what your opinions were on the games and the various sites. Yes this could go in the Shark Pool but to me this is closer to gambling than regular fantasy football and we handle gambling over here. I am thinking of buying a package that would give me an account with cash in it on Draft Kings which is what got me to thinking about looking into this.

Hey GB, how are ya?

I've played Draft Kings and FanDuel, more on FanDuel, cashed a little on both, my preference was FanDuel, but I'll revisit that again this fall, maybe even sooner. Like you, I've been thinking about doing some baseball.

I know FBG is coming out with rankings for both for football this fall. I think you have to be a subscriber to get them, but I could be wrong.

Good luck!

Played Fanduel the last 3 years for football. Played basketball this last year for the first time and am currently doing baseball for the first time. Football was the easiest of the 3 for me mainly because of my experience with season long. Basketball was decent, but baseball has been brutal so far. Part of the reason is because I do not follow them as closely as football, but even football is way different than season long.

I have found that I am more of a cash game grind it out in small winnings that a tournament player, especially in basketball and baseball. Be prepared for some long learning experiences and probably not winning a lot of money out of the gate or possibly ever. I have won a total of probably 1k over the 3 years I have been playing, but I am also playing at the lower $ entries (1-10). More of a hobby to have a little fun and win a little money than anything else.

During football season, there is a weekly thread in the shark pool and last year during basketball season there was an ongoing thread in the FFA with a lot of helpful info.

If you decide to dive in, good luck and I will give you a referral so I can make a little $ off you :)

Thanks guys. I will be waiting for football season if I get in. I don't know the other 2 sports players or teams well enough to be competitive. Especially baseball, may as well throw the money in the street.

With the amount of advertising and newness of this, I imagine that this is similar to when poker became legal and a few sharks fleeced the guppies that were playing too loose with their "house money" aka sign on bonuses etc.

Drafts kings don't exiśt around here sir. THis site is a fan duel site. Take your draft kings to some horse track sir!

I was just saying yesterday how I see the advertising all over. NBA finals, baseball games...even the UFC ring had a Draft Kings logo on it last night. Pretty wild.

Not to mention that any place online that sells fantasy or sports information in general now offers free promotions when you sign up for one of the services. I mean every single one. They must pay bank for those referrals.

This is from the referral center on Fanduel:

Refer friends and earn cash everytime they play

Get up to 35% of the contest fees paid by your recruits
The more you refer the more you earn!
Even if it is the same for businesses as individuals, you are looking at a pretty good bonus.
