Weird cellphone issue (1 Viewer)

For the last few years I was having issues with group texts (MMS) getting stuck downloading while in the middle of an active conversation. Usually it takes a half hour or so and then dozens of messages come through at once. By then I'm lost in the conversation and it's obviously very frustrating.

I had a Samsung Galaxy S10. I tried changing messaging apps and no difference. Finally last week I upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S22 and I'm using Google messages and lo and behold the same issue is happening and seemingly more often.

I've tried everything from clearing the cache to restarting my phone. No clue what to do anymore. I know it's not the phone and I know it's not the app.

this happens to me, too. my phone is old and i've chalked it up to that, but curious what you find out.

Turning airplane mode on and off is something else to try, it resets the wireless signal.

My old phone sends and receives basic texts and emojis but attachments like photos make them get in stuck in transit.

I have also found that making/receiving a phone call will also kick everything lose and send/receive the messages

If there are iPhone peeps in the group, not much you can do. Had that issue with a group and one iPhone would get it, mine wouldn't and the Samsung would be out of synch too. We switched to Signal and it makes life so much better.
