Weird problem with MMS texting (1 Viewer)

Here's the situation...

Me and three other buddies have a long standing group text.. Nothing major, mostly trash talking about sports.

Anyways, out of the blue, my text messages to them started putting the wrong date on it.. Like today, a text to them shows 11/30 on their end and this causes my texts to go to the top

of a very long series of texts on their phones because they are in order of date/time.

Then this morning, I sent a screenshot of a facebook page and they said "congrats, you're on the same day finally"... I answered them without attaching a pic and it went back to yesterday's

date.. Tried it again with another pic and it shows up with today's date..

I've searched the innernets and tried everything on my end... resetting date/time.. using auto date/time.. using manual date/time, deleting the entire group text and starting a new one,

and finally yesterday, doing a full factory reset on my phone.. nothing has worked..

In short, when I attach a picture, it works.. when I don't, it puts the wrong date. Any suggestions??

Basic question, I take it your time shows correctly in your phone?

Also in your texts does the time always appear the same number if minutes behind the actual time, or does it vary?

Also are your friends always on the same city as you? This sounds like the situation with email where the time can appear differently further down a thread because other senders are in a different time zone.

My time does show correctly on my phone

The time on the texts aren't really an issue, it's a full day behind.. showing 11/30 on texts I send them today

My friends are in the same city

What texting app do you use and have you tried out another one to see if the problem is linked to that?

Yes, forgot to add that... I was using just the standard android messaging app.. Tried a couple other ones off the "play store" and all had the same issue..

Did you have the phone in your pocket when you and your drunken buddy went in to the lake on that bike?

If you text one of your two friends separately, just 1-1, what happens? Is the time shown correctly in the texts threads for both ph. nos.?

Yes.. One on one with each of them and anybody else, no issues..
