Welker or Bennett (1 Viewer)

I drafted Drew Bennett and Welker is a free agent right now. I am finding it very difficult not to drop Bennett and pick up Welker in his place.

C) None of the above

In all seriousness, with Holt appearing ready to go, there's little question in my mind Welker is the better play, particularly in PPR leagues.

What about Welker vs Devery henderson? :drive:

I have at WR

S Smith

Reggie Wayne

Lee Evans

Devery

I am thinking of dropping Devery for Welker......

I think Welker is going to lead the Pats in receptions this season.
I agree. In fact, I think Moss is a one trick pony w/bum wheels and Stallworth is pretty much the same w/o height/hops. Welker, I believe, is the best WR on the Pats and Brady will hit the open man and will learn quickly that Welker will be open more often than his other WRs. That said, the leading Pats WR could be 65/900 5 TDs.

Welker is a steady possession WR, nothing more. I think you can book 60+ receptions right now. The problem is that he will have a low YPC & a ceiling of 4-5 TDs. Unless you are in a PPR, Welker is an average bye week filler at best.

Bennett is being drafted on potential. If Bruce & Holt are healthy all year, Bennett won't exceed 45 receptions. But if either of them go down, he'd be instantly starter-worthy as a WR3.

If you like to gamble for a big payout, go w/ Bennett. If you want to play it safe & keep an OK bench player, go w/ Welker.

Devery Henderson is a big play WR. He is sure to have less catches than Welker, but will have a much much higher YPC & more TDs. His ceiling for fantasy points is much higher than Welker's. No way would I drop him for Welker.

Welker had some amazing moves in Miami. The kid has no fear and can squeeze in and out of tight situations.

I was shocked that Miami let him go.
