Not a homer for either team, but I think it's silly to have this discussion right now. Think back over the past 15 years and imagine how many twists and turns the Brady vs. Manning debate has had. Sure, looking back on it now, it would be hard to argue that Brady didn't ultimately "win", but you might have gotten different answers in 2004, 2006 and 2013.

The fact that Wentz is so far ahead in the voting is largely a function of the Eagles being 9-1 and having just destroyed Dallas last night. We have no idea where the two of these guys will be two, five or ten years from now.
Yea, it's certainly not set in stone.  Bortles looked like a rising star his second year in the league.  RG3 looked as good as Dak did his first year.  Lots of examples early on of QB's having that one good year, then fizzling out.  After year 4, we should have a pretty good idea where this is heading, but as most people say, they're both looking to be pretty good.  Dak was bad last week, but he hasn't had to play with these lack of weapons.  The test for him now will be if he can figure it out and adjust, or if he regresses.

Seriously? I like these guys but man, the ranks this year make me scratch my head and wonder if these guys actually WATCH and digest entire games.
They're both are very smart guys when it comes to football but not sure what they see.  Both Dak and Carson are going to be pretty damn good but right now Wentz is the better QB.  Not sure how they could convince me otherwise.

I polled 8 NFL GMs asking whether they preferred @dak or @cj_wentz Results: Seven took Wentz, each citing his superior skills as pocket passer. The other GM took Dak to prevent it from being unanimous.

good post.

From last December: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2678813-nfl-survey-which-young-qb-is-the-top-pick-to-start-a-franchise-with-today

Wentz number 2 (10 first place votes) and Dak number 3 (2 first place votes).

Would like to see this updated.

Really a bad time to be posing the question.  The Eagles on on a tear and the Cowboys are on the other extreme.

I like BOTH QBs but recency bias slants this more than it should.
