Are the season recaps worth listening too, any new material in them?
No. Just snippets from the season. If you know what happened (or are listening to them all in a marathon) they are uninformative. Are the season recaps worth listening too, any new material in them?
**spoilers**Thanks for starting a thread on this and bringing it to my attention; I would never have even been aware of this if it wasn't for the FFA. Just finished Season 1 today and I've really enjoyed this so far. The guys who voice Saul and Michael in particular do a great job. Non-spoiler: This series takes a different approach to the zombie apocalyse and breaks some of the "rules" of the genre. I was uncertain about this at first, but I found that it ended up making the series fresher than what you might expect from a genre that's getting pretty stale.
Skittles pops up again I believe.**spoilers**Thanks for starting a thread on this and bringing it to my attention; I would never have even been aware of this if it wasn't for the FFA. Just finished Season One. While there are some questionable actions in the writing, it's pretty solid all around. Bert's voice is distracting since he seems to be the only one putting on a character and not using a real voice. Datoo (sp?) isn't a very good actor but improved quite a bit later on, especially in the Purgatory chapter. And his friend Samantha was very good. Telling someone that the zombies are smart would usually turn them off on the show but they seem to make it work so far. Downloaded the first few chapters for season 2.
Does Skittles make a return? I took some classes from the guy who played him. Thought he did a great job.
Yep. Not a major character, but he does show up in at least one more episode.Skittles pops up again I believe.**spoilers**Thanks for starting a thread on this and bringing it to my attention; I would never have even been aware of this if it wasn't for the FFA. This week's episode had too much of a character named Glenn - he's someone playing a character as well, and annoying.**spoilers**Thanks for starting a thread on this and bringing it to my attention; I would never have even been aware of this if it wasn't for the FFA. Nope. I listened to the first three seasons a while back, and I'm waiting for them to finish the series before I start season 4. I listen to this while I run, and a season can last me a long time.Chapter 44 - Wow that was rough.
Only 4 more chapters til the conclusion (12 episodes left), I admire their creativity and am excited to see how they wrap it up.
Am I the only one still listening?
Yup. But I am pretty sure it's sold out.I saw on the app that they are selling tickets where you can watch them perform the finale live.
The show has been uneven at times but overall it is solid and it entertains me, which is all that matters in my book.I haven't listened to season 4 at all, because I think listening to one a week would drive me crazy.
I'm going to listen to season 1-3 soon, and then go through 4 once it's complete.
I'm glad to hear that people are enjoying season 4. I thought season 3 was disappointing.
I literally just finished this last week as well. Season 4 was a strong rebound from a lackluster Season 3.Just finished the series. I really enjoyed it and am sad it's over.
Are there any other audio series like this out there?

Scott Sigler books are the best books in this genre in my opinion, though his production is nowhere near as good. They're also free serialized audiobooks. I recommend the GFL series starting with The Rookie, but honestly I've enjoyed all of the books. He just re-worked Nocturnal and had a different guy do the audio, and I liked it.Just finished the series. I really enjoyed it and am sad it's over.
