Probably predicted in that thread, too. Not the first or last time it's happened. Technicals and flagrants get rescinded days later after review several times a season, with or without cause. Sometimes refs will huddle and rescind a technical during a game if letting it stand means having to eject the player for two minor offenses.Covered in the NBA thread, oddly enough.
what other rules should be changed depending on what day they happen.....?Jack White said:If this happens in early March, he serves the suspension.
Considering the Thunder have only two games remaining and are still alive for the playoffs, I think it's the right decision.

if possible could you provide an example of the bolded.......thanksBruce Dickinson said:Probably predicted in that thread, too. Not the first or last time it's happened. Because it's a business run by human beings, not robots.if the technical was not warranted I can see cause for it to be rescinded......if the technical was warranted, it should not be rescinded just because it was his 16th and would cause him to miss a game.....why have the rule if your not going to enforce it......
Saw it happen in person once. Gary Payton went chest-to-chest with an opposing guard after a whistle. A ref called techs on both guys to break it up. One quarter later, Payton got T'ed up for arguing with the ref over a foul call. Then the refs immediately huddled and realized they would have to eject Payton, so they rescinded the second T and let him stay in the game.rockaction said:From what I saw on Sportscenter, the ref accosted him. Seemed pretty tame to me. Guys get away with a lot more every night.if the technical was not warranted I can see cause for it to be rescinded......if the technical was warranted, it should not be rescinded just because it was his 16th and would cause him to miss a game.....why have the rule if your not going to enforce it......
Definitely the right decision, unlike the Westbrook one.Saw it happen in person once. Gary Payton went chest-to-chest with an opposing guard after a whistle. Probably because it is not their intention to have it have that much of an impact on a team's season, especially when they're often such judgement calls in the moment. Not to mention, the timing of the 16th and subsequent suspension is pretty arbitrary. It's not like he's being suspended in the post season for a fight with an opposing player. I'd like to think they'd try to wiggle anybody out of it in such a situation.if the technical was not warranted I can see cause for it to be rescinded......if the technical was warranted, it should not be rescinded just because it was his 16th and would cause him to miss a game.....why have the rule if your not going to enforce it......
Yeah I definitely do. I'd say someone between what you indicated and 16 is fine.Am I the only one that thinks 16 T's is excessive? I think a suspension should come after like 4.
i'm not necessarily doubting you maybe saw somethiing like this happen.....but I am pretty confident that may have been an isolated incident and the use of the word "sometimes" is a little misleading in your post.....almost as if it is a common thing that happens in the course of a season.....in fact you may have witnessed the only time it has happened....andit probably shouldn't have.....Saw it happen in person once. Lol. You should be excited to see them get killed by the Warriors.Definitely the right decision, unlike the Westbrook one.Saw it happen in person once. They did stick to the rule. He only has 15 technical fouls. They should stick to the rule. Having said that the Pels have to play SA and the Thunder have to play the TWolves, so it really doesn't matter, OKC would probably beat MIN anyway and if NO beats SA they deserve to be in.
Pelicans also got to play the Timberwolves. They should stick to the rule. Having said that the Pels have to play SA and the Thunder have to play the TWolves, so it really doesn't matter, OKC would probably beat MIN anyway and if NO beats SA they deserve to be in.
