Hey guys,

I am just curious who people are high on this year. What THREE (QB, WR, RB) do you guys want to have on your team?

Besides the obvious Brady, Moss, LT trio.

Mine are...

QB - Brees

RB - Barber

WR - Chad

With the way FJones is doing in camp, I'm not as high on MBIII as I used to be. My three are:RomoAddaiColston

Guys I really seem to be targeting and thinking of making a possible trades to see that I get them:

QB - None really, but Eli might qualify the most.

RB - McFadden. I love his ADP.

WR - Roy Williams. Best WR on his team, playing for a contract, elite talent and appealing ADP.

McFadden is a solid value pick, ROY has been a dissapointment for me the last few years, so I too am looking for him to bounce back. However, I am not so sure that will happen with the new offense.

The three guys I'm hoping I land are:

RB: Portis

WR: Calvin Johnson. I hope he drops to me in the 5th.

QB: Honestly, I never take one until late so I don't have much of a preference. We draft two in our league so I usually play matchups. Two guys I'm high on that should drop are Eli and Garrard.

Brees or RomoAddai early, Felix Jones laterWR? Don't know
Why is everyone so high on Felix Jones, Ya he looks good but its not like he is taking Barber's job or anything. He will be a good handcuff but in my eyes, not much more.

12 team speculation, I need -

Braylon Edwards WR1 (2nd)

Michael Turner RB2 (4th)

Ray Rice RB5 (10th-13th)

*I had to pass on Turner in the Ultimate Survivor.

Because he has the same week8 bye as BWestbrook

and its a heavy ppr format.

QB- Romo (this years Brady)

RB- Jacobs as a RB2 (just a feeling he is an absolute beast this year)

WR- Colston & Megatron

SJAX//Colston/Witten are my top three -- if Ronnie Brown is healthy he might bump Colston

QB: Shaub (late)

RB: Turner (late also)

WR: Holt (going WAY too late!)

These 3 can be picked up much later than the first 8-12 at their position and will be midline #1's / great #2's.

Bulger--Got him as a backup in two leagues.

Steve Smith--Giants

Antonio Pittman---this is a late entry for me. Holdouts generally don't concern me, but I think SJax isn't messing around.

QB -- Garrard

RB -- Gore, Barber, or Lynch (whoever's available mid-to-late 1st round)

WR -- Steve Smith (Panthers)

QB- Warner(Before Smith decked Lucas I'd have said Delhomme, also.)

RB- Portis

WR- Colston (Bryant Johnson is sliding toward my "must" pile too, if his ADP remains in its current neighborhood.)

TE- McMichael: As the last starting TE(in a Saunders offense) taken? Yes please.

QB - Delhomme (as a backup)

RB - Larry Johnson (he's sliding wayyyy too far)

WR - Braylon Edwards (next TO, but without the headache)

I'm befuddled by the love for Addai, Colston, and Steve Smith. Addai is going mid-1st round, and the two WRs are going late 2nd or early 3rd. I think these are all excellent players, but where's the value at those ADPs?

QB - Derick Anderson, if i miss him, Schaub.

RB - MJD and Mcfadden

WR - Calvin Johnson, Steve Smith assuming he slides due to suspensin. Roddy White should certainly end up on most my teams with his current ADP.

TE - Scheffler

i'm responding with the mindset of knowing my draft spot already (8) and for these guys to make it to me where I need them to for my draft to go the way I want it to....basically because I think they can outperform their draft spot and therefore I want them on my team

QB Warner

RB Thomas Jones

WR Patrick Crayton

Honorable Mention:

QB McNaab

RB Kevin Smith

WR Bryant Johnson

I've been ending up with Isaac Bruce in a lot of my drafts. I've also drafted Laurent Robinson as a backup WR in several leagues.

QB: Phillip Rivers. Really like him in the 10th round as my starter. Love his weapons. He was #8 QB 2 years ago and I see the same coming up

RB: Ahman Green: Another guy that could be had late that if staying healthy could put up okay #1 numbers and great #2. As your #3 RB, I love the value

WR: Torry Holt or Marvin Harrison: Both drop too far for some reason. Both looking great in camp and see very nice numbers for both

TE: Zach Miller. Russell sucks and Miller will benefit from all the dumpoffs in the end. Russell and him seem to have cohesion already

Addai IMO is one of the safest picks in the first round. Maybe that's why.

The question wasn't about value at the ADP. It was what guys do you NEED on your team. Need and value differ.

QB- Schaub

RB- Earnest Graham

WR-R. Wayne (Think he's giong to explode this year and even if he doesn't his ceiling is not low at all)

please explain...just interested what you are defining as need....are you just saying because we like the guy and we won't be able to sleep after the draft unless we get him...just curious

QB - Matt Schaub. If he's on my team and performs anywhere near where I project him, I got a steal.

RB - No clear cut guy, I love Steven Jackson, Ryan Grant, and Darren McFadden. All look like good value so far.

WR - Marvin Harrison. His value will go back up very quickly if he shows anything in the pre-season.

I NEED value players on my team. That's how you win. If I get Schaub, McFadden, and Harrison and they perform how I expect them to, and the rest of my team is average compared to where I drafted them, I'll win the league.

QB- Eil Manning in for a big year and has many doubters so he usually can be had later

RB- Turner (Have been on his train for a while and this is his chance to prove he can be the guy and I think he will)

WR- J. Cotchery (can get him for great value considering you know he is going to catch 80 plus balls).

I think I'll end up with both McNabb and Heap on pretty much any team I have.

2 later round guys I'm liking are Pierre Thomas and Vincent Jackson.

I view fantasy as a game and it's something that I enjoy. Since it is something I like to have fun in, I like to have certain players on my team that I like for one reason or another and that I think will do really well. Now I'm not going to be some super fanboy and fill my team up with all my personal favorites, but there are a few that I think will do great. Those are the ones I classify as need. I'll be able to sleep after the draft, but I'll be a lot happier if I get the ones I'm targeting. I don't know if that's what the original poster meant by need, but that's what I took from it. I'm sure other peoples definition of need are different than mine.
