What do the Steelers need to do in the off-season (1 Viewer)

I don't think the steelers need a whole lot ,to get back to the playoffs. Remember ,they lost a lot of games early in the season ,that they had full control off. The Atlanta game ,Bengals game ,and the game against the Raiders. The key will be Ben coming to camp in better shape ,and getting his timing back to how it was last season. If there is anything they need ,i would say cornerback ,maybe more WR help.

Hunger, an accident and operation free offseason, someone to remind the O-line that while polite, it is not necessary to hold the door open for every defensive unit you face, more players with Hampton's drive and nastiness. Draft at least 1 if not 2 pass rushing LB's, Harrison's and Iwuoma's heart and drive, Ben, Hines, Willie to assume leadership. Willie Reid to stay healthy. and a coach to remain focused during the season, hopefully Cowher.

Budget more money to feeding the zebras.
:wall: The difference between this season and last season is that the Steelers got the other end of the stick when it came to breaks and calls. Similar teams (05 & 06) that found ways to lose games by field goals rather than have the refs hand them games by field goals.

I hope it's not inappropriate for a Baltimore homer to post in this thread but, honestly, I don't think the Stillers need to do very much. They got everybody's best shot all year, seemingly every close game went against them and they still have a chance to finish at .500. They have Pro Bowlers on both sides of the ball and a reversal of the turnover margin may be all it takes for them to win 11 or 12 games in 2007 and be right in the thick of things at the end. True, they were handled twice by the Ratbirds, but I wouldn't blow this out of proportion; Baltimore is an excellent team this year which matches up very well with Pittsburgh.
