Annnd...I end up losing by less than 5 points because Brady ####s the bed. That's two weeks in a row he's been gargling sack. Oh well, see ya next year.

 
Starting the week I was in first place and could lock up a playoff spot with a win (playoffs start week 15) but I lost my game due to K. Drake blowing up for my opponent.  Alternately, I could make the playoffs if the 2nd place team lost their game, but he won so we have the same record.  Tie breaker is total points on the season and the 2nd place team had a 22.9 point lead on me heading into the week, so my final chance to win since the first two options failed would be to outscore the 2nd place team by 22.9 points...I scored 22.6 points more than him this week so if I've calculated everything correctly, I will lose on the total points tie breaker for the entire year by .3 points  :topcat:   :pokey:

I didn't even post in this thread because I needed Cooks to be held under 2 points (0.5 PPR, 1 point per 20 yards).

Couldn't possibly happen, right?

 
A guy in my league was tied with his opponent and he had the only player left, which was Julius Thomas. Well Thomas got him the 1 point he needed to break the tie until he fumbled the ball and lost the point he got. The guy will end up losing as the tie goes to bench points. That ones gotta sting!

 
  Good going to everyone that won and moved on.

 One more crucial week, and if we win there, hopefully we have a shot at some decent money.

Now, next week we get the first round of the 10 teamers playoffs too.   :excited:

This would actually have happened if New England had managed to score the TD on the final drive and kick an XP instead of a FG.  So after rooting for Miami D all night, they ended up playing too well and cost me my game...by 0.59.

Not a Brady owner but I would feel pretty great starting him at Pitt this week.  There D is soft as a grape these days and the Pats should come out mad as hell.

 
I needed Brady + Cooks to score less than 11 points to win so obviously didnt think I had a chance. They had 6 points total until 2:40 left in the game and if Miami gets one more first down I win. Instead they didnt and Brady's next pass was the 40 yard pass to Cooks and Im done. Incredible.

Amazing it was that close

 
Went into last nights game virtually tied with Burkhead playing and my opponent with Amendola.   Won by 1.30 points thanks to Amendola being tackled at the one inch line on that last drive.  Crazy.

That last drive for NE cost me a playoff spot as well - 12 teamer and 4 make playoffs which start in week 15.  I would secure a spot if I won my game (I didn't) or if the 2nd place team lost (he didn't) or I outscored the 2nd place team by 22.9 points.  If MIA makes that first down I'm in because 2nd place team has Brady.  I ended up losing the playoff spot by the total points tie breaker by 0.4 points.  Freaking 4 yards over the course of the entire season.
