What do you think of this hypothetical QB? (1 Viewer)

2007 stats326/532, 3,645 yards, 23 TD, 17 INT
i think these are very good stats. not fabulous, but very good nonetheless... id equate this to a QB that plays on a team that is good enough to make the playoffs, but they're not necessarily the most talented squad. idk, these stats are screaming "Eli Manning" to me, but these stats seem to fit guys like Cutler, Kitna, and Rivers as well. 10 years ago these stats would probably be considered great and might be associated w/ guys like Elway and Favre.

To me, these stats scream average. It's the high number of attempts that throws people off.On the other hand, I'd agree that they're probably better numbers than 163/256, 1,823 yards, 11.5 TD, 8.5 INT.

They scream average for a team, not necessarily average for a QB which is what you presented the stats as being. I also would argue that we tend to think of the "average" QB is the median QB while you're talking about an "average" team's passing stats as being the mean average.
