what ever happened to Tim Couch? (2 Viewers)

Oh yeah, didn't his family put out a million-dollar insurance policy on him in case he got injured his senior season at UK?? He's still listed as a Packer, but isn't even listed on the official depth chart.

i honestly think he is coaching a HIgh School team or something like that. I couldn't prove it, other than I think i remember seeing something on NFL Network.

in all seriousness, that's what Ryan Leaf is doing. you may have them confused.... and rightfully so.

last i heard he was having multiple shoulder operations and trying to come back from them. It's sad, I honestly think he could have turned into something decent outside of Cleveland

from Wikipedia:

Attempted comeback

After undergoing shoulder surgery in February 2005, Couch auditioned for the Chicago Bears midway through the 2005 season and the Cincinnati Bengals in December 2005. The Bears noticed his arm was not nearly back to NFL shape during their workout and subsequently did not sign him. The Bengals did not pursue Couch, although Jon Kitna was not resigned after his contract expired in early 2006. Couch participated in tryouts with the Tennessee Titans as late as January 2006. He has also been to work outs with the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans. All three teams have stated that despite good workouts, they are not interested in pursuing him. However, Tim Couch is already counted out for the 06-07 season, as he has had shoulder surgery again in late June of 2006[4]. It will be at least until the 07-08 NFL season before Couch can attempt another comeback.

Personal

Couch is married to the 1999 Playboy Playmate of the Year, Heather Kozar. He and his wife have a son together, Chase Scott Couch, who was born on August 5, 2005. His birth weight was 7lbs, 5ozs.

Which would you rather be, Kurt Warner, having won a SB and 2 MVPs and have to live with his wife, or Tim Couch, have arm trouble, be an NFL bust, and have to live with his wife?

Tim Couch > Kurt Warner in that respect, hands down.

that's not updated

Giants tried him out this summer and he's invited "open door" or whatever to return next summer. No hopes but Ernie seemed hopeful.

After Chad, all bets are off with QB coming back from injury

Couch, and it isnt even close. The dude still has tons of money and smoking wife. Add in the fact that he's several years younger and its a layup.

I used to hear stories all the time about how he was a boozer and womanizer... not sure if true or not but wouldn't suprise me.
The NFL QB class of 99 had a bunch of busts in the first round:Cade McNownAkili smithTimmy CouchObviously Culpepper had a good run and McNabb (who was crucified he very first start, I was in Philly that day) is the man...

Whatever he's doing now he's got to be wondering how Vinny Testaverde gets on a roster before him...

Colts tried him out too. Really I think his arm/sholuder being in such poor shape is what nixed his chances in most if not all cases.

atleast i wasn't totally wrong. Your definetly right on that one. it si Ryan thats a coach.
Ryan is Quarterbacks coach at West Texas A & M - they are 10-1 this year.Oh, and his phone number is on the college website.

How is Ryan Leaf qualified to be a coach? He'd probably be near the top of my list of people not to hire.

Couch seemed like a guy who was a bust beacuse he got hurt.

Leaf is a bust becasue he's an idiot - big difference.

Not to mention Shaun King who was believed to be a potential 1st Rounder in this draft as well, I believe.

Well, I'm sure I don't know - I have never met Ryan Leaf  Apparently, he went back to school after finally giving up on his pro career. Maybe Ryan Leaf at 30 is a more mature person than he was at 22. Nah, that can't be right, Leaf is a bust.
