What I Learned From Week 3 (1 Viewer)

Tom Brady is currently a dink and dunker
Did you expect more with the smurf wr crew thee roll out? I saw branch, edelman, welker, and woodhead all on the field last night at once and laughed. Combine that with McDaniels who has always been overrated and you get the #### show you saw last night. I put all pats on my avoid list this year after seening them in the preseason. They were all overdrafted.

Is pisses me off that KC throws the ball to Bowe 50 times a game and Baldwin barely gets looked at. I saw a drive where they threw like 5 plays in a row to Bowe... And didn't get anywhere.Whose to say Bowe is better than Baldwin when they don't give him the opportunity...Isn't that the same up who caught a ball BEHIND one of the best defensive players in the game (Brian Dawkins?)Unleash the freaking beast ### ####it
I'm just guessing here, but the Kansas City Chiefs organization is not invested in your fantasy interests.

I watched a lot of the Colts game and while he didn't have the prettiest stat line, I liked how Luck looked.

Not exactly a bold prediction, but...I think he's gonna be really good in time.

Watched the redskins play at noon. RGIII is really fun to watch but shanahan is going to get this kid killed. He took some tough shots yesterday when they kept running the option.

Redskins secondary is bad. The Bengals lit them up yesterday. That also goes hand and hand to AJ Green is a freak of an athlete.

Kyle Rudolph is a solid TE with excellent ball skills.

Matt Ryan is good but unless games are closer, he won't put up monster numbers. All three games so far, Falcons have had 20+ point leads at one point and ran the ball instead of airing it like a shootout.

Frankly, I learned I know nothing about the players and teams this year.
i second this....i honestly have no feel for the game this year.
Count me in the clueless camp too. Trying to figure out matchups every week is not working, especially with WRs.
Remember that WRs usually are more inconsistent than RBs. That's why lots of owners still emphasize the latter in their drafts even though the NFL's pass happy. And it's going to get crazier -- bye week and more injuries on the way. On the plus side, more and more information will be available upon which you can base your decisions.
I've learned that the NFL is serious fun
Indeed! Yesterday served up several excellent games, including several OTs.

Have Red Zone for the first time this year, and yesterday was the first time I really sat down and watched a full block of games. Of course I watched it before at friends' houses, but this was in the comfort of my own home. It was insane. So in keeping with the thread topic: Week 3 taught me that my fiancee doesn't yet understand that there are no commercials on RZ.

- Trying to play matchups with waiver wire defenses isn't working very well

- Kevin Smith shouldn't have signed a contract that had incentives kicking in @ 30 carries for the season

- Mohamed Sanu has a better arm than Andy Dalton

- That the Seahawks loss @ AZ the first game of the season wasn't such a bad loss after all - especially considering they had many opportunities to win it.

I learned that if you want to find out whether or not you have a drinking problem, you should attend a dry wedding and see if you can still have fun.

I learned that when Ray Rice becomes plan B, instead of plan A, the Ravens get themselves into trouble and almost cost themselves another game.

And I learned that, once again, Cam Cameron is incapable of learning this lesson.
No team was in more 2nd and 10's than the Ravens the past 3 seasons. And they still have had great success. Imagine if they ran a bit more on 1st down. 2nd and 6 is a lot more manageable.

That DMC and McCoy are too often afterthoughts in their offenses when they are easily the best weapons on their teams.

DWill to an extent too...but overshadowed that his QB is the better weapon.

No doubt. Especially McCoy. WTF is fat ### Andy reid thinking? His qb throws 3 interceptions a game & is getting killed. Hand off the damn ball !

he has put up monster numbers. as a matter of fact. his worst game also was the closest game they played

-blackmon and lewis have each looked strong at times in the preseason and week 1 but they will probably score under 5 points in way too many games. droppable even in 20 man roster leagues.

-never bench fitz

-when you can, always start explosive plays like charles, t.smith and dmc over consistent plays like colston, bjge, alfred morris, gore. ALWAYS. you will never regret 5 pts out of charles as much as you will regret 40 pts on the bench.

Never bench your studs (Charles, Fitz) for bench players with better matchups. (Donald Brown, Malcolm Floyd)

That a wildcard is going to come out of the NFC West...while a few years ago a 7-9 record (Seattle) won the division.

CJ2k can get you 24 yards when his team puts up 40+ points.

He has been good but I consider monster numbers (400+ yards, 4+ TD) games. The Falcons basically had the game locked up in middle of the 3rd quarter in 3 games so the Offense goes into shutdown mode and just hand the ball off to kill time.

Ummm...he's a top 3 QB in FF in most leagues and is tied for the league lead with 8 TD passes - and has one of the best passer ratings in the NFL. He's doing okay.

And how am I denying that? I said "He has been good" but my whole point is that he could've been even better if the games were actually close and competitive.

This has more to do with the O line than the players, Lloyd is a good deep threat and Welker has even caught his fair share of deep passes. That line doesn't give him time to do more than a 3 step drop if they are playing a decent defense.

So if he hadn't led them on all those scoring drives, the games would be closer...which would give him the opportunity to lead them on more scoring drives. Got it.
