After talking to sources close to the situation and around the league, NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora "senses" that Hall of Famer John Elway will return to the Broncos organization in a prominent role in the front office.
"He's coming in with a bang," said LaCanfora, "with a voice, a decision-making prowess, and someone who could maybe even settle ties between the football side and the coaching side." LaCanfora further suggests that long-time teammate (and former backup to Elway in Denver) Gary Kubiak would be a "natural" as Elway's choice for head coach if he's fired by Houston.
If this was the case I would assume Moreno would end up in a Foster type role. Now the Denver line isn't as good as the Houston line...but it isn't bad. Moreno's style seems like it would be a good fit for the zone blocking system. I think Moreno is a top 10 RB in this system and even top 7 in a ppr league.
