What is the win percentage of the Graham and Gronk owners in your leag (1 Viewer)

Winning %:

Graham owner: .308, last place in his division

Gronk owner: .769, in position for playoffs

Gronk owner .350

Graham owners(also has Thomas) .750

League leader is .800 and has Olsen/Gates at TE

I own Graham. My team is 6-4 but I had a pretty rough time getting there. My team is finally healthy and primed for a playoff run.

I have Graham AND Gronk in my keeper league, and I'm 5-5.

Biggest reason my record isn't better is my WRs have been downright awful. (Andre, Keenan) Also Gronk didn't really come on until the last month or so.

In my other league I own Graham and, I'm 5-5. (1st in total points, however)

These are all with the same scoring system and my teams. I have 71 teams in this scoring system. My overall winning percentage is .643662.

Graham and Gronk are quite a step above anyone else at their position. It seems like the owners of these two players have a very distinct advantage over non-owners. We get this debate every draft season that they should or shouldn't be first round picks. I'm starting to think they need to be number one and two respectively because of the advantage they impart. Sure there are guys like Demarco and Forte, but I doubt many took them number one overall. Meanwhile guys like McCoy were tauted as the best guys to have and they've failed miserably.

So let's here it. What is the record of the Gronk and Graham owners in your league.
I think where the big advantage is, is to Gronk owners as he was going late 2nd or early 3rd. Graham was usually a first round pick.

Except they aren't a step above and aren't providing a distinct advantage. Thomas is tied for TE1 in most leagues and Gates is out scoring Graham. Then you have Olsen in the mix as well.I'm in too many leagues to go listing all the records. Suffice it to say so e are winning, some are losing. Others are middle of the pack. Just depends on the rest of their team.

Like I said this preseason, the value at TE is Thomas. He was had 3 rounds later than Graham and a round later than Gronk. Producing top TE results.
MFL ADP had Thomas going before Gronk, albeit only slightly (29.34 vs. 30.43). That held true all the way up through season kickoff. In fact, Thomas' lead in drafts held the two weeks before the season started was even bigger- 28.62 vs. 31.37.

FBGs leagues tended to be Gronk heavy, because several of the staffers here on FBGs absolutely loved Gronk. In the broader fantasy ecosystem, though, it was a tossup with a slight edge to Julius Thomas.

h2h records are almost meaningless in evaluating a fantasy team...total points is a much better indicator
amazing how this simple concept eludes so many. stop spouting off records. Tell us instead where they are points-wise.

in mine, gronk is 2nd, graham is 4th.

You really need to define the scoring system to look at this

In standard PPR league the points are

1) Rob Gronkowski . 163.30

2) Jimmy Graham . . 156.40

3) Julius Thomas . . . 152.30

4) Greg Olsen . . . . . 146.80

In FBGPC and FFPC

1) Rob Gronkowski . . 187.80

2) Jimmy Graham . . . 185.40

3) Greg Olsen . . . . . . 172.30

4) Julius Thomas . . . . 171.30

In my PPR redraft league the Olsen team is 6-4 (as are Gronk & Graham) teams but leads in points by a hundred at 1230

In my FBGPC league the Gronk & Olsen teams are 7-3 with the Olsen owner first in points at 1540 while the Graham team is 9-1 and third in points at 1468. The Thomas team is back in the pack

Gronk owner 5-5

Gram owner 4-6

I think overall Gronk owners are doing better because they drafted Gronk a round or two later than Graham.

10 team dynasty, PPR, start two TEs.

Both owned by same guy. Currently 8-12 (2 games a week) and in 7th place

Acquired Gronk in week 5 for Megatron

When Hillman is the RB in Denver, JT's value takes a hint. With Ball or Anderson in there, he's on par with G&G

I have both Graham and Gronk in both my leagues and I'm 6-4 in both. 2nd highest score in one league and third in the other.

When Hillman is the RB in Denver, JT's value takes a hint. With Ball or Anderson in there, he's on par with G&G
Why?

Julius Thomas' target totals over the last two seasons (23 games): 7, 2, 6, 6, 6, 7, 4, 5, 8, 5, 8, 8, 7, 5, 5, 3, 6, 7, 12, 4, 4, 9, 7

The two-target game was obviously an outlier, as was the 12-target game, (which was the shootout vs. Dallas last season). Throwing out those two games, though, I think you'd be pretty hard-pressed to guess who the RB was for Denver based on Thomas' usage. That's a mean of 6.1 targets, a median of 6 targets, and a mode of 7 targets. 83% of his games have had 4-8 targets. His role has been relatively fixed from game to game and season to season to this point.

Graham 1-9 (late 1st round, mediocre team with the highest points allowed)

Gronk/Thomas owner 5-5 (drafted both with late 2nd/early 3rd, 12 team league)

I have both Graham and Gronk in both my leagues and I'm 6-4 in both. 2nd highest score in one league and third in the other.
Same here, same record also. I didn't get Gronk until just before he started going off (owner got antsy and needed a RB). 4th in points scored.

When Hillman is the RB in Denver, JT's value takes a hint. With Ball or Anderson in there, he's on par with G&G
Why?
because Hillman can't block, and Thomas is kept in to block more
22.2%

35.6%

20.7%

36.4%

16.7%

19.5%

19.5%

42.1%

34.5%

That's the ratio of Thomas' snaps in pass protection vs. out running routes. If I didn't tell you which games are which, I doubt you'd be able to pick the Hillman games out of the bunch (the top six are the ones where Hillman played half the snaps). Hillman hasn't been bad in pass protection, either, New England notwithstanding (that game is the big outlier in all of it, in terms of Julius Thomas' usage and the entire offense's style of play).

Against New England, Thomas was barely used, but otherwise there's been very, very little game-to-game variation in his role in the offense regardless of who is in at RB.

I own both in a flex TE league.

5-5

Other positions riddled by injury all year, but things finally beginning to be looking up.

My 10 leagues, All the records of the Graham/Gronk Owners. For me it really seems like the win percentage per team depends more on the team overall, rather then just the tight end on the team.

League 1:

Graham Owner - 7-3

Gronk Owner - 5-5

League 2:

Graham Owner - 6-4

Gronk Owner - 3-7

League 3:

Graham Owner - 4-6

Gronk Owner - 6-4

League 4:

Graham Owner - 1-9

Gronk Owner - 7-3

League 5:

Graham Owner - 6-4

Gronk Owner - 4-6

League 6:

Graham Owner - 4-6

Gronk Owner - 5-5

League 7:

Graham Owner - 3-7

Gronk Owner - 7-3

League 8:

Graham Owner - 4-6

Gronk Owner - 6-4

League 9:

Graham Owner - 4-6

Gronk Owner - 6-4

League 10:

Graham Owner - 4-6

Gronk Owner - 6-4

gronk owner 4-6

Graham owner 6-4

Neither are near the top in points scored

Salary Cap, auction league.

Auction drafts, especially with good owners, mellow out the effects that OP describes.
