Got the idea from this tweet. He has lost a lot of his weight, but I am guessing it is due to health issues.

Lots of choices. I am guessing that it will be between Iceman and Doc Holliday

But I went with Nick Rivers. Love that movie and he is a great comedy actor in it. Plus he was smoking hot  :bag:

Yeah I had a man crush on the early Val Kilmer
"Interests: Breathing... and Val Kilmer"  ;)

I voted Ice Man. First thing I think of for him.

Always thought his wife was underrated in her prime.

"Self-realization. I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, '... I drank what?'"

also enjoyed Dieter Von ####h.

Please.  It's Doc Holliday.

Also, maybe a little warning before sharing that pic in the OP?  Almost spilled my coffee.

This is an age thing.  The obvious answer is Top Gun, because it was his first "blockbuster".  I preferred him as Doc, but that didn't define signature to me.

I would say his best role was in The Saint, even if the movie was average.

But I voted Top Gun since that's where he broke out and he'll alway be known as the IceMan.

Doc should run away with this, but he was scary good as Jim Morrison - I have never seen a better character portrayal (of any real person).

Most Kilmer: Iceman

Most Iconic: Doc Holliday

Most Re-watchable: Chris Knight
This is pretty good.

As also pointed out, he was really, really good in The Saint.

Real Genius is such an underrated movie, though.  Perfect 80's movie.

The Lizard King and Ice Man.

Probablu need to watch Willow again and see how it holds up. Loved that movie as a kid.

btw- island of dr moreau is pretty funny viewing. you can see the lack of ####s given by brando, and how much it irritates kilmer.

"NO HOUSE OF PAIN!"

loved by me for those features, but mostly for my favorite Wiccan/Farsi/Roma Gypsy - Fairuza Balk

Plus, the midget on top of the piano.
yeah- sweet jeebus. I thought for sure that guy was animatronic. IIRC, brando and him got pretty close.

also heard that brando had cue cards everywhere on set... even written directly onto extras. kilmer wasn't pleased.

It would have been great to have been a fly on the wall on that set. So much awesome.

Not used to not having to feel ashamed of liking Top Secret! in a public setting.  Thanks, guys.

Oh, and you dropped your phony dog poo.

my two favorite characters of his aren't listed

Spartan:    Soldier guy

and

Salton Sea;  Danny Parker

FWIW his acting stood up quite well vs DeNiro and Pacino in Heat. His part may have been smaller, but he definitely held his own.

Loved The Doors.
