White people taco night. I haven’t had a white people taco night in a decade+.

You know the kind. Seasoned ground beef, hard shells in the pack. Shredded lettuce, tomato, grated cheddar cheese, and sour cream. La Victoria taco sauce is a must. Basically a bougie home made TB taco supreme. (Pickled jalapeño slices optional, but necessary)

It’s delicious & nostalgic.

I live in NorCal. I can get outstanding Mexican food all over the place. But this classic of causasity has to be made custom.

Imma have to have a white people taco night soon.

My wife mentioned to me that she used to mix a can of tuna, cream of mushroom soup, and noodles together and have that often. I have no idea what that was supposed to be, but it sounds disgusting.

She also mentioned this: Kraft Noodle Classics, Savory Chicken - Apparently, it's still available.

It's a variation of tuna casserole. It's wonderful. Total comfort.

I never got around to trying, but a buddy used to live on canned tuna mixed into boxed mac and cheese.

He called it Smack and Cheese.

I agree. I consider pb&j to be sweet and salty and I prefer that combination. Or sweet and spicy.

It was jalapeño jelly and the peanut butter ends up tasting like satay sauce. A combo I adore.

I used to open the can upside down, poke a hole in the middle of the spaghetti-O’s and turn the can over the pot and some type of voodoo reaction took place and the spaghetti-O’s all came out instantly with a big slurping sound.

I was talking about the peanut butter and jelly. Hot toast is more than enough to melt peanut butter.

I was talking about the peanut butter and jelly. Hot toast is more than enough to melt peanut butter.

Can't speak for Mrs. R's comment, but I've had peanut butter and jelly on toast right out of the toaster. Grilling it was a much better experience.

This thread reminded me of my dad's snack repetoire from back in the day. Cheese toast was his go to - a slice of American cheese on white bread fresh out of the toaster oven. He would slice the strip of cheese into three strips |||, so that's artisan cheese toast to y'all.

Related: Note to self, reverse engineer Frito Lay Bean Dip recipe. Last time I looked it was like $4 for a tiny can, for what, 3-cents worth of ingredients.

Freak Dip recipe forthcoming. Learned this from a guy in college and he called it Freak Dip. Now my adult boys call it Freak Dip.

Block of cream cheese smashed on the bottom of the bowl to about 1/4” to 1/2” thickness.

Beanless chili on top of the cream cheese.

Shredded cheese on top of the beanless chili.

Nuke for 5 minutes and stir till it’s all one consistent light brown color. Might have to nuke another 2-3 minutes depending on your microwave.

Favorite corn chip to dip and sour cream on the side. Guaranteed heart burn that evening.

We typically have it as a snack during a big game.
