What is your playoff scenario? (1 Viewer)

I am tied for division lead at 7-5 with another team. He holds the tiebreaker so I need to win two games and he needs to lose at least one or I need one win and he has to lose two.

Wildcard seems like a long shot since three teams in another division are 8-4 for two WC spots.

Already in in 2, just hoping for a average week to get a bye. And lost this past week to not make my league. I can end up in a tiebreaker but lose that. I had to win out. Injuries killed that team :kicksrock:

I'm sitting at 7-5 in the one wild car spot available. The division leader is at 8-4. To make the playoffs as a wild card team need to go 1-1 and have three other teams which are at 6-6 in the other divisions go 1-1 as well.To make it as the division leader need to go 2-0 over the next two games and have division leader lose both games (he has the points advantage and would win a tie breaker).

I'm already in in two of my leagues. In the other, I just need to win to get in with an 8-5 record. I am in a three way tie between 5th, 6th, and 7th, so I can also get in with a loss by either of the other two teams (I have the highest point total in the league with a fairly wide margin over the people I'm competing with for a spot).

In my main league, I'm already in. I'm trying really hard to get a bye. I've lost two straight despite having the #2 scoring total in both weeks. If I win this week, I just need to score within 15 points of another guy to ensure the bye. If I lose, I will hopefully drop to the 4 seed to get a much easier playoff matchup.

Our league was very lopsided this year.

12 teams, 6 make the playoffs. The last two to make it will be either 7-6 and 6-7, 7-6 and 5-8, or 6-7 and 6-7.

I'm the Seattle Seahawks of my league. My team has the 2nd highest total points (ok so maybe I'm better than the Seahawks). I'm currently sitting on the last playoff spot at 5-7 (10 team league, 6 playoff spots).

Even if I lose I still have a chance if everybody behind me loses based on total points.

The one league that is in serious doubt I need a 7-5 team to lose and to pass him in total points by about 20 points. Didn't expect or plan to compete this year so bonus if I make it.

One league if I win I move up to 4th, if I lose I stay 5th...either way I play the same team in the 4 v 5 game. I would like to have the 4 seed so I can get more stadium revenue.

In the other league I need to win by a large numbe rof points ( I think it is 30 plus points). If I win I tie the guy I am playing for the last playoff spot...split the season series and then it comes down to Points Differential. I am down by like 60. So 30 points should do it. Not likely to happen. It is a damn shame as I though I had a pretty good team this year - but a few key injuries and I am sitting at 6-6.

I need the teams above to have their wins vacated for some reason so I can make the playoffs. Guilty of playing wrong teams on their best performances of the year.

Good luck to all in the playoffs!

There is no pain you are receding

A distant ship's smoke on the horizon

You are only coming through in waves

Your lips move

But I can't hear what you're saying

Man mine is so crazy I could be the #1 overall seed to not even making the playoffs. Unbelievable!!

No clear cut dominant team in the league this year. It has been a good year and the closest in this leagues 26th season

A wing and a prayer

Sitting at 6-6 in 8th place....

My points for and against are almost the same

Oddly, I have highest point total in our league

I, also, have the highest Points against in the league... by a wide margin

The penchant for my opponents to explode into top 3-4 weekly FP output has become a stuff of great hilarity in my group

anyways,

6th and 7th place teams are sitting at 7-5 both of whom have to lose

I play head to head with #7 with a matchup that favors me but the 6th place team plays the crappy 4-7 11th place team.

The only glimmer of hope I have is the 11th place team kicked my tail in week 11 by playing Tori Smith and Kevin Smith and lead the league in scoring.

Otherwise, Sunday night, I will be drowning myself in tears and beer

In one league, I need my 10-team league to expand the playoffs to include 10 teams. :bag:

In the other, I have clinched a bye to the semi-finals. :pickle:

1 - playoff berth secured since the only guy who could knock me out would have to outscore me by 300 points in the final week to overtake my league high points.

2 - playoff spot basically secured for similar reasons. I'm first overall & hold the league high for points. I would only fall out of the top 4 if one of two teams outscored me by 200 points.

3 - scraping by all year with mediocre play at every position. Still, win & in.

Clinched a spot at 7-5 in my 16-team money league.

Clinched 1st overall at 9-3 in a friendly league with some co-workers.

Already eliminated in the two leagues I don't care about.

In League 5 which is only for a handful of jellybeans, I'm 6-6 - two games behind my division leader, one game out of the wildcard spot with two games remaining. Currently 7th in a 12-team league where the Top 4 make the playoff cut. This league will get the majority of my attention this week as it's effectively the only matchup that matters for me.

I'm tanking my 16-team league matchup this week deliberately against an already-eliminated opponent to avoid a potential matchup with the hottest team in the league in Week 14 along with better waiver priority.

These two scenarios are pretty tough to top. I'm in two leagues, and in both leagues I'm pretty much guaranteed to be in with a win and out with a loss.

First league: There's one team in my league that is 12-0 and has scored 283 more points than the second-highest scoring team in the league, 465 more points than me and 754 more points than the lowest-scoring team in the league. I'm one of only two teams to have to play this league leader twice this season, and I now need to beat him to make the playoffs.

Second league: The week Beanie Wells got injured and it looked like he wasn't going to play, and the team was facing Baltimore anyway, I was desperate for a win and desperate for a RB. So I traded Calvin Johnson, Beanie and his backup Smith for Fred Jackson, Schaub and Pierre Thomas. I then traded Schaub before he got injured for Mike Williams TB and Mark Ingram. So now he is using Megatron and Beanie against me and I don't have FJax.

I'm pretty sure I won this week by beating the guy I was tied with at the top of our division. If so then I am the #1 seed if I win out. If not then I should still make the playoffs if I win one more game.

Now I need a lot after having Brees score 32pts when I was up 30pts...thank you NYG "D" of lack of one!!!

three way tie for fifth at 6-6 and 1/2 game behind the last WC. I need to win out and the fourth place team needs to lose once and he has a tough two weeks ahead so it's doable.

In already in another league but don't know my seed...should be 2 seed but we'll see.

One league I am already in, good to go in that league. In the other I am 6-6 and 2 games back and need 3 teams to lose their last 2 games and for me to win my last two, and even then I dont think I will be able to get in, as the team I would tie with would have beaten me earlier in the year so the tiebreaker goes to him...my 6 losses I've had 3 by less than 5 points..sucks..

9-3, only one in the league who has a playoff spot clinched. I'll be the #1 seed as long as I don't bench my whole team and even then I'd probably still be the #1 seed. I was 2-3 and have won my last 7 and had the highest weekly score 4 weeks in a row.

You're pretty sure you won this week? It's Tuesday afternoon. Are your game results delivered to you via Pony Express?

In one league sitting in the #1 seed. Just need to win and have it locked with top payout.

In another league sitting at 7-9 tied with four other teams for the last wild card spot. Need to win both doubleheader games this week and I need the other four to lose one game.
