What kind of bug is this? (1 Viewer)

I've now found 6 or 7 of these coming in through a window in our kitchen.  They are somehow getting in between the window and the screen and then climbing up until they make it into the house.  Once there, they end up just crawling until I kill them so they aren't flying around although it certainly seems like they could.  It looks like some kind of stinging insect (very similar to a bee) but I'm just not sure which kind.  As I'm pretty terrified of bees and wasps, there's zero chance I'm going to go look for a nest anywhere.  Is my whole house going to be taken over?  Should I call a moving company now?  Or just ride out the storm?

Maybe fix the pic?

That's called a round recluse.  Thin legs that you cant even see, perfectly circular body, and the white rectangular marking on its back.

I don't reddit.  Can you go do the work for me and post it and get back to me?  TIA.
Follow the link and PRESTO!- you're doing reddit.

Larval state of Termites... if you're seeing lots of these your house is about to fall down.  Grab valuables and head to the nearest Super 8

I doubt this is a stinging insect. It looks like a Black ground beetle. They used to come in my house all the time. Most of the time when I found them they were already dying and laying on their backs legs kicking in the air. While they can bite I've never had any bite me.

Try to take a better pic of one with good resolution and post back. Also taste one of the legs and describe the flavor.

This.  I think if you back the camera up another two...maybe three feet to be sure...and dim the lights just a little more, we will have the shot we need.
