What makes a deep/semi deep etc league? (1 Viewer)

I was just curious what everyone thinks would make a deep or semi deep league. I have a pretty decent handle on it for Football, but baseball seems tougher given the EXTREMELY different league formats. For example, I play in a 12 team mixed league, with 25 roster slots. We also keep 15 from year to year. It's a H2H category league, using a 8x8 format. I think this must be pretty deep, but am not sure. Oh, we also get a 2 man minor league roster that we can hold onto guys as long as necessary for them to come up to the bigs, but you have to pick them up within a week of them being active in the system. What would this be classified as?

I view 12 team mixed league w/ 26 man rosters as the baseline. The more teams or bench slots you add, the deeper the league. I think the number of teams affects depth a more because you're talking about starters rather than bench slots. (i.e. 13 teams w/ 26 man rosters is deeper than 12 & 28).

Keeper/redraft and H2H/roto change strategy but don't affect depth as much as the number of players tied to rosters.

Semi-deep --> more than 300 players on rosters

Deep --> more than 400 players on rosters

Individual cases will vary based on format (i.e. leagues with holds, probably extend both baselines by 50 players) but I'd say that's a good standard.

My leagues have 225, 290, 325 (holds league), and 450 players rostered.
