If this has been posted before or recently I could not find it (PPR and points per reception both fail on the search)> I am not so much intersted in debating the pros and cons of each, I just want some idea what percentage of leagues use PPR in some format.

My primary league, in it's 10th year, and still with 7 of the original 10 owners, does not use PPR.

However, three years ago, we did add PPR for TEs only.

I personally wouldn't participate in a league that didn't do something involving PPR, whether it's .5 or a full point.

I wonder how it would work if you just gave a bonus for anything over a certain amount of catches. Ex: 5 poins for 5+ catches.

I started a league this year that has .5/1.0/1.5 PPR for RB/WR/TE respectively. Helps balance out the positions if thats your intent with PPR.

I wonder how it would work if you just gave a bonus for anything over a certain amount of catches. Ex: 1-4 catches = 1 point5-9 catches = 3 points10+ catches = 5 points
Help me think through this guys. I'm thinking this might work.
Andy, I am in a league that does something similar to this...I don't like it as much; but that's more because it makes using the Draft Dominator with my personalized projections difficult.

:lmao: I can see that! Plus, finding a site that would score it properly may be a trick. But how does it shake out the scoring? I'm always searching for better ways to make all the positions equal as possible come draft time - which is why I like PPR and 6 points per TD in the first place.

It would be good if FBG had an option for Dyansty owners to use a PPR ranking since 70% of the leagues so far use the PPR but the Dynasty rankings here are non PPR which really throws off the rankings. I hope the new layout has some options for this feature.

Our league uses the 0.5/1.0/1.5 for RB/WR/TE mentioned earlier, but that's not my point. I generally dislike ranged scoring systems because, in this instance, if a guy catches 10 balls and another cathes 15 they get the same points (with the exception of yardage). In addition, I would advise only counting the reception if the play results in positive yardage. I know of a handful of negative yardage receptions last year that produced positive fantasy points.

3 leagues over the last couple of years use ppr. One is a long running league which just adopted ppr 3 seasons ago.

Obviously not staff, to really answer this question, but my thought is that the average off season FBGs poster does not reflect the larger sample of FF player. My guess is that there are more traditional 12 team, 15 player, start 2RB, non IDP, non PPR redrafts than any other league type. For the most part, we won't see many of these guys until August about the time for their draft. Should FBGs market itself more to the large base of players or more hardcore players? Well, that really is staff/management issue.

7 leagues all PPRBetween 1 and 2 points eachDidn't know that many leagues still don't score this way, then again, I wouldn't join one that didn't

One of my leagues gives points for average receiving yards, min 3 catchesand rushing average, min 7 rushes.I think like your question, they all kind of average out between players and just create higher weekly scores.
