and most fantasy footballers are all about supporting THOSE decisions, why is no one supporting Petrino's decision to null and void the contract he signed ?

There's already 10 other Petrino threads. You didn't need to start a new one echoing what others have already said. With that said, what Petrino did was terrible and he'll never have a chance to coach in the NFL again, which is a good thing.

I don't think you understand that those players never technically "refused to honor" their contracts. The contracts call for them to be paid a certain amount if they are on the team. If they decide not to play, or if the team decides to cut them, then the contractural terms do not need to be fulfilled.

are you naive, or do you realize that those contracts aren't guaranteed. the owners don't have to honor those contracts either. the players' only leverage sometimes is the holdout. if you aren't as good as your cap number-->cut or less money

if your play exceeds your cap number-->more money

players contracts aren't guaranteed-so they have every right to try to seek out what they can-whichever way they can. coach's contracts however ARE guarnteed. unless arthur blank takes civil action against petrino-blank can't get back the signing bonus or 1st year salary from petrino.

Minor correction here. Plummer announced his retirement before the trade went through.
