What players put up winning numbers last year... (1 Viewer)

uhhhhhhhhh, what?
I'm looking for players who did well last year who had nothing significant change around them (offensive system, offensive coordinator, new teammates at important positions) between last season and this season.I'm not trying to find the next big thing with this inquiry. I'm trying to find players who will likely repeat last year's performance.

Interesting. So, what you're saying is you'd like to know who did well last year and had few changes around them this offseason, thus having greater confidence that they might repeat last year's performance. I doubt anyone has ever thought of this. You're on groundbreaking territory here. I feel I am on the precipice of immense changing in FF.

Not so much, but I haven't seen a list compiled of this kind with an explanation of what infrastructural stabilities might encourage repeat performance.

Rodgers, Brees, Peyton, Schaub, Eli, Flacco, Favre at QB

CJ, Rice, MJD, AP, Ryan Grant, Benson, Addai at RB

AJ, Wayne, Sidney Rice, Colston, Jennings, Steve Smith, Steve Smith, Nicks, Crabtree at WR

Obviously there are so many variables in football/fantasy football but the above guys I believe are in substantially similar situations in 2010 as they were in 2009. One would not expect drastic statistical changes from their 09 numbers other than what might be represented by their own age/experience.

Agreed...Jennings should be fine but I could see other changes in that WR corps that could affect him. With the emergence of Finley and Driver's age and knee scope...how much will that affect Jennings.Rice also have to watch the reports on his injury.CJ at running back? Well, if he gets into camp...and I don't know about a drastic change but I would not expect 2000 again. 1500 is more like it.Also for him you have the change to Amano at center with Mawae not coming back.

That's a good list. Thanks. I think we focus so much on what's changed year-to-year that we fail to price in what has stayed the same.

Flacco did acquire Q which might cut into Ray Rice's production. It's a big addition for a QB that is up and coming.

Romo could be another steady one depending on your level of confidence in Doug Free. Pretty stable situation as long as Free plays average/above average this year.
