What position does D.J. Foster play (1 Viewer)

xenon

Footballguy
I recall seeing earlier today that he was designated as WR on CBS (confirmed that) and a RB on other sites??  He should be a RB yes? and if so, how to get CBS to change the designation?

LOL i emailed CBS about this....need to make sure he is in reserve spot and you commissioner should be able to go in and edit roster position for him and make him a RB.  I bieleve it was under edit roster postions in the commisioner tools.   I am commisioner for my league and it worked.

Thank you for the prompt response back. As commissioner, you can place the player into a RB position in your lineup. Go into the Team Roster page that has the player on the team. Add the player to the reserve spot if the player is currently active. Next, you will click the commissioner tools icon next to the POS tab on the team roster page. Next, click on the player's position that you wish to adjust. A drop-down will populate with multiple options to select from.

On Yahoo he has both RB and WR eligibility.  I think McCluster has dual eligibility one year as well.

Colston famously had WR/TE eligibility his rookie year I believe.

My understanding is that Foster did a lot of work with the WR group earlier in camp but has been working as a RB exclusively since Lewis went out.  I could be wrong though.

Foster has been working with backs all camp, he missed time with injury. You may have been thinking of James White who when Lewis still might have played was practicing almost exclusively with the WRS.

In college Foster did play both positions. He should be a rb.

I emailed CBS too but no response yet and can't find where to make any position change.

I got this response. These idiots won't change it.

Unfortunately, when the Patriots team sent out their initial depth chart the player in question was listed as WR. This is the same position that he ended his college career at. There will not be any immediate changes made to the player's position this season. As commissioner, you can place the player into a RB position in your lineup if you desired. email CBS again.  I am going to multiple times.  I/we could be over-reacting but if this guy comes out and plays well and puts up numbers as a RB and is listed as WR, it will just suck (especially for those who may have drafted him as a lottery ticket of the assumption that he was listed as an RB.

On MFL he was initially listed as a WR. He's since been changed to a RB which I feel is correct since that's what he's now listed as on the Pats depth chart.

I believe the issue is that he played RB and then converted to WR his last year. Much better RB than WR but capable of both, I saw quite a few places were projecting him as a round 3-5 pick but he went undrafted.

He's a RB/Utility on most rosters, definitely not an NFL WR.

Woodhead went thru similar crap his first couple years and espn/yahoo refused to change it during the season, wouldn't hold out.

Your commissioner can change his position to a RB for your league.  I did it for my league and he is now listed as a RB.  CBS sent the same email to me and told me how to do it.  They should just switch it in their system...but appears that they won't...

I picked this guy up 2 days ago and didn't notice he was listed as WR until I saw this thread.  Luckily I'm not in a position to start him, just text the commish in my league.

"These idiots wont change it" seems a bit harsh since they are giving you specific instructions on how to make the change yourself.  Also, someone else in the thread already said it worked for them.

so is he worth a hold?
Right now I am leaning no even though I am intrigued as hell about the kid...he was not active on Sunday and James White looked good so he is not going away...it also gets you one game closer to Lewis coming back...you never know with the Pats so you may want to hold for one more week but because it's the Pats you may just want to cut ties if there is anything you like on the wire...

They are telling you that your commissioner can make the change if that's what your league/commissioner wants.

Reminds me of my kids. They come to me with a problem, I give them several good suggestions and they proceed to argue with me about each one because none of the options are "me fixing it and them doing nothing"...

One of the flip sides of living in an advanced technological age.

Problem solving is a diminishing skill.
