Best record based on schedules and overall strength of the team.
I'm the first to vote for New England. I like their schedule, coach and QB.Carolina [ 8 ] ** [33.33%]Denver [ 2 ] ** [8.33%]New England [ 1 ] ** [4.17%]Chicago [ 4 ] ** [16.67%]NY Giants [ 0 ] ** [0.00%]Miami [ 2 ] ** [8.33%]Philly [ 2 ] ** [8.33%]Cincinati [ 5 ] ** [20.83%]
I think he wanted to leave out Seattle, Pitt and Indy to see of the rest of the teams, who will have the best record. You didn't even include perhaps one of the two or three most talented team in football in the poll, Seattle.
New England? Miami? Philadelphia?
I don't think so.
I think Carolina has a hard schedule. They play both the NFC East and the AFC North, and their own division other than NO's is tough. I like Chicago's schedule best, followed by NE and Miami.I personally like Chicago, Carolina, or NE in the poll. Those seem to be the teams with the easiest schedules and best teams to win. NE might have some question marks though.
As stated, Indy, Seattle, and Pittsburg were left out on purpose. Call it, best of the rest. You didn't even include perhaps one of the two or three most talented team in football in the poll, Seattle. New England? Miami? Philadelphia?I don't think so.
I agree that the Bears will have a good record as long as their offense can score. It should be improved this season from last just because of the depth at QB. But I think Carolina is just flat out better than the Bucs and Falcons. NO is still a long ways away from being a contender. Not sure why Carolina has the most votes. Talent-wise I think Carolina is great but that division is a bear with Atlanta and the Bucs as two legit contenders and a Saints team that should be interesting offensively. I like the Bears of all the team because they are probably going 5-1 in the division. With many of the others having first place schedules, the AFC having so many strong teams, and that NFC East where two divisional losses are guaranteed, the choice was not that difficult.
He should have phrased it like that, then. As it reads, the answer is probably "none of the above."I'll play along with your assumption and take Carolina, though, as I think they may actually finish with the best overall record, including the excluded teams.I think he wanted to leave out Seattle, Pitt and Indy to see of the rest of the teams, who will have the best record. You didn't even include perhaps one of the two or three most talented team in football in the poll, Seattle.

I left them out because this is a bet amonst friends that we've been doing the last 3 years. Those 3 teams are taken. Plus, there are alot of homers picking those teams based on last season. My selection for the bet is basically between Carolina, Denver, and Chicago. Chicago has the easiest schedule but the worst offense of the 3. I'm leaning on Chicago though with good depth at QB and RB. Not that Denver doesn't have the same. But Chicago's schedule is almost a cakewalk.I can see leaving out Indy & Seattle since their divisional rival are so weak, but Pittsburgh? No guarantees they will even win their division (they didn't last year).
That's very possible.Umm, tie. Both Den and Chi will be 13-3.
