16 team dynasty, has been in the league for two years. Before the season started he went a month without checking in. Sent him a couple emails that were never answered. Had a friend from another league submit a lineup for week one to keep league continuity. He checks in an hour or so before the games and makes the changes he wants. Great i think he's back. Still doesnt answer any of my emails or give any sort of explanation. Week 2 and 3 he doesn't check in at all or make any lineup changes, it's been about 15 days now since he's been on the site. Well bye weeks this week and he has 3 guys in his lineup on bye. Hasnt changed them yet. Will have my friend submit a lineup if he doesnt.

Now if he doesnt check in before tomorrow should i kick him out of the league? I have another owner standing by who wants in. If i do what should i do about his league fee this year? Thanks

Give him a 'Last Chance' email with a deadline to answer. Get the owner-in-waiting in the league if no answer. Everyone has access to the internet by now. No excuse not to set your lineup.

If you're not already doing so, I would also recommend that you copy all the other owners in the league on everything that is going on with this owner.

if he is out you can lock his roster and whom ever is playing him plays vs the league avg. make sure not to include the team that is playing the avg team in the league avg score.

There's nothing in your rules?

Assuming there isn't, you really have to give him one e-mail ASAP. BUT (and this is a big but), if he doesn't submit a lineup this week (regardless of e-mails), you have to boot him.

Boot the turd out of the league. He is worthless and weak.

I think this is pretty much my plan. And what about his league fee of $50? Would you see what the new owner is willing to pay and send him that? Send him nothing? Send him whatever that team wins for the year?

My suggestion is consider his league fee to be league properity (it is), and accept a new fee ($50 or less) from the new member. No show with no notice deserves this reasonable response. The members will support your actions, I'm sure of it.TC

We have a 63 page rule book and in that rule book it clearly states, that any owner that does not post a lineup, will be removed.

I do not reimburse the entry fee, because as the commissioner running a 32 dynasty team, not only does it affect the other owners (Easy win for opposing team) it is a pain in the ### finding an owner to buy the team.

i just removed an owner for not posting a lineup in our double header week.

I say we let him go.

He seems to have a lineup every week so far.

Continue to try to contact him what's up.

Email league on rule. The rule is up to you.

Rule suggestions,

Penalty

A. A warning, 2nd time you're out

or

B. 1st time, you're out

Violation (Pick one)

1. Bye week player or injured and ruled out all week in lineup with other option on roster (allows team to not be forced to drop a player)

2. Bye week player or injured and ruled out all week in lineup regardless of other option on roster (team may be forced to add drop for valid lineup)

3. No login within week to check valid lineup (player must login to show he checked lineup)

4. No valid lineup submitted in a week (even if it is the same)

Just a thought.

Why not?

I think it's BS to have a violation if I want to start a BYE week player. Maybe I don't want to drop a player and think I can still win with a BYE week player playing. It's strategy. Sometimes it's worth taking a zero than dropping a good player.

I don't think the OP is talking about dropping players. He just wants the lineup set with available options. Owner hasn't checked in for 15 days. There is a problem, especially in dynasty. I think he is getting good advice

I don't think you can give him a refund. You don't want another team to think that if they are having a bad season, they can just stop participating, and then expect thier money back.

i would say that much of this should be addressed in your rules. Honestly, the manner of this post suggests that the owner thinks he is within his rights to behave in this manner, especially since he has paid his fees. To answer the questions1) Should be some sort of process to kick a team out to make sure it is objective and not reactionary. That said, non-participation is a normally a good reason to boot someone.2) Should be a blurb in the rules stating the fees are non-refundable. 3) Should be something that describes expected behavior in the league and define what you guys mean by participation, sportsmanship and setting line-ups, etc. i suspect that you think that a person should do more than set the line-up and pay his fees

I was just responding to someone's rules violation they posted.

1) Final Warning email/call now.

2) If guy misses lineup setting, tell him he has lost his team has been forfeited.

3) Let potential incoming owner set his lineup as of 12:30 ET tomm if not set...and he inherits team.

4) If owner sets lineup tell him due to extenuating circumstances he must submit a valid lineup by Saturday morning. (He can tweak after but if he has an invalid lineup as of noon on any Saturday his team is forfieted)
