With Brees on my team, down w/ broken ribs, is he a shut em down candidate? Stafford, Cousins, Jones, Newton, Smith, Lock, Dalton on the WW. I’m starting Herbert, should I forgo a backup? If you feel like one of these is much better than the other, should I get 1 TONIGHT as waivers run in an hour or so.

In a one QB league no need to have a backup on the roster.  That is better suited for upside RB or WR options that hopefully pop.

Agree with @Gally, no need to roster a second one with that much depth on the wire, just cut him for a RB or WR flier
