There is one topic and one topic only now-a-days at FBG, which means that there are quite a few that are almost completely unsung.

The leading one in my mind is the performance of Romo and TO. Both are second in my league at their respective positions by a fairly hefty margin. However, their accomplishments are soon forgotten (today they lasted all of one hour). Still, it is very impressive the numbers that both of these guys are putting up. Through ten games, Romo is already thind on the Cowboys list of TD passes with 27. He is on pace to throw for 44 this year. Meanwhile, TO is on pace for over 1600 yards and 19 TDs. Those are some darn impressive numbers.

I'm not a Cowboy fan, but the season these two guys are having deserves a little praise as well. (There are others, ADP/Lynch, my favorite...Amobi Okoye, a guy who can't drink yet has five sacks in the NFL, Patrick Willis, just to name the rookies)

You know what they say, 2nd place is just the 1st loser.Romo + TO are money though. I think the reason that Brady and Moss are talked about way more (other than their gaudy numbers) is that Romo + TO were a given going into this season. Brady on the other hand we knew would be good (but not this good!), and Moss was a huge question mark.Oh, and also the Pats are MAKING HISTORY.

If you're not first, you're last, don't you ever forget it Ricky Bobby.But on a serious note, Owens and Romo are having an amazing year together and it's very "special" on it's own. But it reminds of the year that CPepp was having with a total combined 41 TDs but Manning threw for 49 TDs. Any other year, CPepp gets the MVP. Romo's on pace for 46/47 combined TDs which would be a HUGE story if Brady wasn't doing what he was doing. And yes Owens is having a great year too, but Moss leads him in almost every statistical category for WRs.But with that all said, there is one thing that garners more attention than all of the above and that is the Patriots run at an undefeated season. Think about it, NBC flexed the Bills/Patriots game. Anybody with any football sense knew that the Patriots coming off a bye week, there's no chance they slow down. Yet they still flexed it just so they can have the game that features the lone undefeated team. With that comes all the attention on Brady/Moss and their spectacular seasons.

They are a great tandem and are really perfect together. Romo is excellent at scrambling and creating something from nothing and TO is great at continuing with the play and finding ways to get open when things break down. Very fun to watch and you never know when that big play is going to come.

 
Brady, Moss, Romo, and TO do have one thing in common. They might be resting when their fantasy owners need them most.

Romo and TO will be battling GB for homefield probably until the last week and Brady/Moss may be going for 16-0. They'll all play for the rest of the year.

31 carries concerns me. Westbrook always reminds me of Barry Sanders in the way that they never really take a hard shot. Instead, they seem to be able to shift their bodies to soften some of the force. However, Westbrook does this even better when he is catching the ball. 31 carries on a guy that was already dinged up has to take a toll on his body.
 
One guy who is ignored all the time is Ronnie Dayne. He isn't flashy and he is your garbage pail type Rb, but last season and this season he has been a very effective RB3. This week he put up 89 yards on 21 carries and caught a few passes and in ppr you ended up with 15 points from him. Last year he helped a lot of teams in the playoffs and with Green about to expire it looks like he will again, yet he gets no love.

Over the last two years he has outperformed a lot of backs with more name recognition: consider Lamont Jordan, who earlier this year people on here were ready to dub a stud.

Dayne in 06 and 07 so far: 1049 yards/7 TDs

Jordan in 06 and 07 so far: 955 yards/4 TDs

Yet, with Jordan on the verge of being cut and Dayne on the verge of assuming a starting position in Houston for at least the rest of the year, the talk on the boards is 'who will pick up Jordan?" and 'he is too good to be cut' and 'he was doing so well...' and 'someone like ATL or GB will surely sign him...'

Age wise they are the same age.

Dayne will never be an elite RB but he is a guy who is very much worth owning now and who still can help a team win games as he did this past week.

:jawdrop: Why quibble with such a good day running the ball? Because injuries are always a concern with Westy and some of us are counting on this guy weeks 14-16. 31 carries just exposes him to getting beat up. One catch is certainly NOT his game, but if McNabb is ok then it should not be a problem going forward.

For TO and Romo owners you have to be pulling for GB every week. As long as they stay hot then the Cowboys will be playing their starters. If GB loses a couple TO and Romo will probably not be playing week 16.
 
If you think in terms of common opponents, and the relative competitiveness of the Redskins / Cowboys game versus the onesideness of the Redskins / Patriots game, you begin to get a perspective on why the production statistics of the Cowboys are being "ignored".

I think the GB and DAL storylines are alot more entertaining than NE. I think that NFC Championship game will be excellent, if those two teams go (and the Superbowl most likely a snoozer).
 
All the talk about a full-fledged RBBC is Indy seems to be just that.

Now if they can only get the offense looking more like their old selves rather than the old Browns...

 
Per average (small sample size due to injury) but A. Johnson has been as close to as good as T. Owens and R. Moss in the 4 games we have seen him.
