It seemed that after last week most people thought Jerry Jones was right not to fire Wade Phillips in spite of the team's struggles because there wasn't much point in doing so mid-year. But after this embarrassing loss, it seems the consensus and Jerry's own tenor, have changed and now Wade's fate seems far less clear. A lot of people are weighing in on what Jerry should do this OFFSEASON, but that's still a long way away for Cowboys fans and Jones' own ego.

The real question is what -- if you were Jerry -- would you do today? And why do you think your choice makes the most sense?

Also, please keep in mind that "I would fire myself and get a new GM" isn't really a productive answer because that's not going to happen as we all know. Put yourself in JERRY's shoes, not what you would do if you somehow had power over the team inclusive of Jerry.

Fire Phillips and Garrett, promote Campo to interim HC, and waive Michael Jenkins, Marion Barber, and Roy Williams immediately.

You gotta do something just from an accountability standpoint, and you can't have the team be a joke the rest of the year without some level of change. No sense in promoting Garrett and rewarding him, so I defaulted to promoting Pasqualoni, not like it really matters. If there's a hard working position coach that has been around for a while, maybe you give him the bump as a token of appreciation. There will be a whole new staff next year.

Dave Campo, a long time friend of the program anyway. Perfect guy to clamp down the the rest of the year and hold guys accountable, but never expected to be the coach long term.

If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), doesn't Garrett have one of those contracts that guarantees he's among the highest paid coordinators in the league? If that's the case, I have a hard time seeing the team let go of Phillips and not jettison him too, no?

How bad are things when Dave Campo seems like a good alternative.

Damn those bills, had they not hired Gailey we could bring him back too, lets round up all the sucky head coaches Jones has hired and bring them all back!

Other: Fire Wade & garrett, drink heavily, coach the team myself and call teh plays. Get Felix heavily involved, (since I picked he not for talent but for alma mater), including some QB duties so he can see what it's like not to block anyone and have a LB run him over. Drink some more.

here in Dallas the mood is poor. Some talk radio banter is finally putting the blame on Jerry and his son. Fire the control of the present GM and bring in some definitive role players for management and coaching alike....

additionally, bring in Russell, sign him to a contract, watch Felix whiff the oncoming blitzers, tell Al Davis it's his christmas present and that he now knows what it's been like to be Al.

I picked fire Wade and promote Garrett. I think it makes sense to see what kind of leader Garrett would be. Wade has to be held accountable as the head coach ultimately, so he has to go otherwise the culture of losing will just be continued. People need to fear for their jobs all the way down. I would be tempted to waive Jenkins after that pull up at the goal line last night.

IRVING, Texas -- Although his leased SUV was not in its customary parking spot Monday morning, Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips was seen at Valley Ranch by several team employees.

prolly could not convince the SUV to give any effort this morning so he ended up walking in to work.

This is what happens when the front office drafts on measurables and perceived athleticism alone, fails to substitute new blood for losses from attrition due to age, injury and free agency, and interjects itself in gameday planning.

Canning Wade will make NO DIFFERENCE.

There is one person responsible: the GM.

That sounds like too much work for Jerrah. Now he might think that Stephen Jones has a little too much time on his hands...

Put everyone's name in a hat and whenever the opposing team puts points on the board, draw a random name from the hat. Then fire that person, not after the game but right there on the spot.

1. Fire Wade.

2. Give the interim coaching job to Garrett. The expectations should be low for him in terms of wins, but Garrett has been here for a number of years and they need to see what they have in him. Plus, it costs nothing to promote someone from within the organization.

3. Depending on how Garrett performs, either give him the job full time or bring in someone else after the season.

Jerry Jones the owner would fire Jerry Jones the GM in a heartbeat.

I love Jones as an owner but Dallas would be better off if Jerry was the owner only..not the GM too.

Fire Wade & Garrett and promote the assistant that is the biggest drill sergeant type. I tell the players in no uncertain terms that the rest of this season is going to be used to evaluate who's earned a position on the team this off-season.

Pursue linemen in FA. G Logan Mankins of the Pats and G/C Seubert of the Giants are two that should be available.

I missed the "sell the team and spend my remaining days in a penthouse surrounded by hookers and blow" option.
Do you need any apostles? I would like to follow you around and listen to your teachings. After you pass I promise my tell all book gospel will in no way exploit your memory for my own personal gain. At least not much.

Unfortunately my current holdings would only be good for a weekend at the Days Inn with a tranny and a poorly made batch of crystal meth.Hopefully the Double-J's continuing efforts will reduce the value of the franchise to the point that it's in my spending range, at which time I will buy it and set the plan into action.

Two chicks at the same time.

I figure if I was Jerry and had all his money, I could probably arrange something like that.
