Yup. Even 11-9 with a superbowl win is better than 18-1.As for which is harder to do? Definitely the 18-1. Doesn't mean it's better. This should be pretty easy. One involves winning the Super Bowl - the other does not.
I think 11-9 with the Super Bowl win would be harder to doYup. Even 11-9 with a superbowl win is better than 18-1.As for which is harder to do? Definitely the 18-1. Doesn't mean it's better. This should be pretty easy. One involves winning the Super Bowl - the other does not.
9 votes from Pats fans and counting.17-0 [ 35 ] ** [79.55%]18-1* [ 9 ] ** [20.45%]
It is possible for a 7-9 team to make the playoffs by winning their division.I think 11-9 with the Super Bowl win would be harder to doYup. Hell it's possible for a 3-13 team to do the same. but given that no team has yet had the opportunity to play in the playoffs with a 7-9 record, I'd have to say that 11-9 would be the much more difficult feat. -QGIt is possible for a 7-9 team to make the playoffs by winning their division.I think 11-9 with the Super Bowl win would be harder to doYup. If I recall correctly, the Cowboys came remarkably close to makeing the playoffs with a 7-9 record in...what was it, 1989? 1990?Hell it's possible for a 3-13 team to do the same. but given that no team has yet had the opportunity to play in the playoffs with a 7-9 record, I'd have to say that 11-9 would be the much more difficult feat. -QGIt is possible for a 7-9 team to make the playoffs by winning their division.I think 11-9 with the Super Bowl win would be harder to doYup. The 9 who voted "18-1" should be publicly flogged.
great post!no one remembers who finishes second, nor do they care..18-1 is good, but its not `great`.Yup. Even 11-9 with a superbowl win is better than 18-1.As for which is harder to do? ...wait a minute...weren't the 1985 Bears 18-1?The 9 who voted "18-1" should be publicly flogged. Not surprising though...
Not only did the 72 Dolphins get off the hook tonight, so did the 85 Bears, STILL the best football team EVER
We almost had a 7-9 wildcard team in the NFC a couple of years ago.It is possible for a 7-9 team to make the playoffs by winning their division.I think 11-9 with the Super Bowl win would be harder to doYup. Just because it's more unlikely doesn't mean it's harder to do. It's incredibly unlikely that I'll win SB MVP by sitting on my couch, but that doesn't mean it'd be hard- all I'd have to do is sit, and I'm pretty darn good at that. Going 11-9 is easier than going 18-1 because you can just mail in 9 games if you so desire.Hell it's possible for a 3-13 team to do the same. but given that no team has yet had the opportunity to play in the playoffs with a 7-9 record, I'd have to say that 11-9 would be the much more difficult feat. -QGIt is possible for a 7-9 team to make the playoffs by winning their division.I think 11-9 with the Super Bowl win would be harder to doYup.
