What's the best job board? (1 Viewer)

So, I'm looking for a new position (Ops and Supply Chain) and had been using LinkedIn.
There's a proliferation of pass-through companies now that want your information before taking you to the actual posting when going through LinkedIn.

Does anyone know what's the best current option for job postings?

I’d still try using LinkedIn or finding some recruiters
I've gone through a few recruiter contacts. The issue is that I'm focused on the Rochester, NY area and the folks that I've found either don't have a presence in this market or are on the accounting/finance side. If anyone knows a person in the 585 area, I'd be appreciative of something passed along.

Have you tried giving your resume directly to the person hiring?  I've recently read that's the shark move.
Pretty much my mom's advice.

"Show up and give them your resume, then they know you're serious."

Meanwhile, she's trying to buy solar panels from door-to-door salesmen when she lives in an apartment complex.

I don't understand that "get some recruiters" thing.  I had one recruiter in Houston, but she was a friend of a friend, so that's how I got in touch with her.  Seems now, anyone who's a recruiter is looking for a specific job being filled and if you try to talk to them about anything else, they just don't even reply back.

Recruiters in my industry are absolutely worthless, at least from my point of view.

To answer the OP and agree with a poster above, I believe Indeed is the way to go.

Good luck in your search.

I work in automotive in Detroit, so there are a plethora of recruiters trying to fill various roles all the time

i think they generally get around 20% of your annual salary as a finders fee, so they’re usually pretty motivated, at least in my experience around here

I used someone out of Rochester in 2008 in Engineering to get my current job, he was really good.  I need to clear the cobwebs in my brain and try to remember his name, a few quick email searches didn't find anything.
