What's the deal with Marshawn Lynch ? (1 Viewer)

i was away in the last 10 days and i've seen only the stats....not too good

thoughts ??

new JJ Arrington or not ??

:excited:

I think it is way too early to tell there. I think Lynch has more talent than Arrington. Buffalo's O Line is still a work in progress, and Lynch has not received a whole lot of preseason work to date with the #1 offense. I still see him as a #2/#3 tweener for this year with a decent dynasty outlook.

I watched the first quarter of the last Bills game and he looked excellent. He looks quick out there. He didn't break any huge runs, but doesn't go down on first contact. Gets about all the yards that he should on each play. He's got the ability to be an every down player.

I was at the Bills game, I thought he looked good. He was targeted in the passing game too, which is a plus. The line definitely still needs to jell, I think their C was out for that game.

Thanks for field level perspective. I have Lynch handcuffed with Thomas in the Footballguys IDP league but was wondering how Lynch has progressed during pre-season. Phew! Relieved to read the above comments...

I drafted Lynch in my 1st league this year... and kinda regret it now.

They have a very difficult schedule vs. the run.

I also think they'll be behind in a lot of games and have to abandon the run early.

I don't know about being the next JJ Arrington... but I'm not exactly enamored with his situation this year. At this point, I think I'd rather have Peterson or Jackson.

I've not got around to watching the last Bills pre-season game yet but I did hear the pre-game discussion by the two Bills announcers, Steve Tasker and Ray Bentley. In their words they said Lynch has been everything he has been advertised to be. They said his physical skills and versatility will allow the Bills to do new things and best of all he may never need to come off the field.

Lynch is the new JJ Arrington in the same way that Reggie Bush is the new Lendale White.
My head just exploded reading that reply.

The only people who compare Lynch and Arrington are the people who don't watch Pac-10 football.

Lynch should start for the Bills and be moderately productive. That offense probably isn't good enough to make him a top 15 back, but one advantage he has over McGahee is that he's a much bigger threat in the passing game. I look for him to have a pretty decent year.

 X 1000000000000000Marshawn Lynch has looked awesome in camp and in the preseason...Arrington never did. As EBF stated if you are comparing these two you didn't see either of them play in college...I'll also add you haven't watched either of them play in the pros either.

Chin up.Being behind a lot will only play to Marshawn's strengths. Pass catching. It'll be very easy for him to get a lot of targets in garbage time if the Bills are always playing from behind.

WTF? Reggie Bush and Fatdale White in the same sentence?

One thing worth watching is how his physical, never-go-down style translates at the pro level. It could translate well, or it could get him blown up & worn down by mid season.

The point is, evaluating players based on the logo they wore on their helmets in college is stupid.
I thought he was another J.J Arington, a product of the system, Untill I watched the Dudes Highlights. Wow Lynch aint no J.J. He dont dance and seems to love to makecontact with the DB's. J.J. shy's away from getting hit. Lynch 2007 season projections.1200 yds Rushing350 yards Receiving9 total TD's
