I think you could get a good 2nd string TE for Evans...maybe.What is Lee Evans fetching nowadays on the trade market? I'm curious since one money league that I participate in has seen the (frustrated) GM trade him for Baltimore's... Mark Clayton. Funny, I can't even see why I would call it lopsided and veto the trade.
There are approximatley 86 WR's outscoring Evans. Pick one off the wire and move on.I'm dropping him for D. Bowe. I was all for giving him a chance to get it together but 2 of my 3 WR's have their bye weeks this week so I need somebody this week.
Hopefully he gets back to 2 receptions per game under Losman.I just acquired him as a throw in...until Losman comes back I don't see him doing anything. Even then I'm not so sure he'll be productive. Somebody needs to punch Jauron in the face.
half eaten bag of chips? And thats a steal....for the guy giving away EvansWhat is Lee Evans fetching nowadays on the trade market?
Seriously? WW or trade? Evenso, seriously?I'm dropping him for D. Bowe. I was all for giving him a chance to get it together but 2 of my 3 WR's have their bye weeks this week so I need somebody this week.
You may be right, but at this stage the guy is not worth a roster spot (depending on your bench size). Anyone that averages less than 2 points (non-PPR) a game over a 5 game stretch is not worth sitting on.Most average WR's have scored more points in one CATCH than Evans has scored this year.IMO Evans is the ultimate buy low. Just look at the defenses he playedEN- #1 vs opposing WRsPIT- #7 NE- #11 NYJ- #17DAL- #192 things stand out. His first 3 games were vs ridiculous pass defenses. His last 2 games were vs below average pass defenses but they had a rookie throwing him the ball. He had a decent game vs the Jets with 72 yards. Once Losman comes back are you telling me Evans will not be a solid WR vs average defenses? You can get him for a song and a prayer now and stash him as a WR4 or 5. I will be offering up Heath Miller for him to a TE desperate team.
That is the problem right there. On a typical waiver wire you have guys like Evans everywhere. Michael Jenkins for instance...one game with a couple of TD's does not make him start worthy and in most cases (in 3 of my leagues anyway) even worth a bench spot. Evans is clearly in the same league with Jenkins, given this years stats.Just picked him up off after he was released in waivers for Dennis Northcutt. He'll sit on the end of my bench until he proves he can do something. As someone noted, the problem with Evans is that he is liable to go off for 30 points sometime in the next couple of weeks, but he'll be on 99.9% of fantasy benches at the time.
Do I honestly think he will keep up at that pace to only get 28/361/0? No.Do I honestly think he will go for 800/5 by years end? No.His downside is far lower than WR3, he has proven that. The problem is (or at least I believe this is your dilemma) that he has also proven that he can be a WR1.But so can any WR in the league with some speed.Evans is on pace for 38 rec, 361 yds, 0 tds. Do you honestly believe he will put up those #s by year end? I dont. Even if he puts up 800 yds and 5 tds by year end (which would be a down year for any WR), that means he is due for 687 yds and 5 tds from here on out. That is an average of about 9 pts a game. Which would make him WR#22. So his downside is a WR3 from here on out.
Braylon's doing ok for me as is Boldin when he's in thereOther than Moss there is no receiver out there really putting up consistant numbers.
I see 800/5 as his upside. The Bills might not score 5 offensive TD's the rest of the year. He'll finish the season with around 600 yards and 3 TD's, and the only reason he'll get 600 yards is because he's too fast to not have at least one long TD reception.Do I honestly think he will keep up at that pace to only get 28/361/0? exactly. he'll have an awesome long TD while on the bench, and then lay an egg when everyone starts him the next week. after watching BUF the other night, I realized that Evans wasn't a healthy fit for my FF team. I'd rather free up one rotating roster space for the likes of Kenny Watson against KC this week (if he goes, watch out!) or covering byes/injuries especially as i'm in an IDP league.I see 800/5 as his upside. TJ and Burress seem to be doing well for me in my PPR league. In fact TJ has been MORE consistant.Other than Moss there is no receiver out there really putting up consistant numbers.
Geez. Nice job.Just traded him yesterday for Javon Walker
I was surprised he went for it. He's got a solid team himself and he did have him last year and thinks he's going to go off 2nd half while being frustrated with Walker's injury.Payne said:Geez. Nice job.Iwannabeacowboybaby! said:Just traded him yesterday for Javon Walker
Why do you think Losman is returning any time soon? This team is going nowhere this year, and the Losman was here before Jauron became the coach. With the bye week/trade deadline approaching, they may want to start fresh with Edwards.Bodysnatcher said:I think that Lee Evan's numbers are going to go up a great deal with JP Losman returns. Cuz Losman looked good the 2nd half last year and struggled this year vs 3 of the top pass defenses in the NFL.Why do you think Losman is returning any time soon? I was offered Holmes for Evans after Week 3, but didn't pull the trigger until after the Pit/AZ game in Week 4, but the trade didn't go through until games were in play Week 5 so I didn't get the frustration of him in my lineup with a big fat ZERO.I'm happy moving forward.Week two, I offered S. Holmes for him. WOW I am glad the owner declined!!!!!!!!
Please don't ever do this anyway.Funny, I can't even see why I would call it lopsided and veto the trade.
Non PPR league, I need to pick up either Mark Clayton, Northcutt or Hilliard for this week. Can't decide.Who would you rather have Lee Evans or Mark Clayton?Anyone draft both?
I like Hilliard.Non PPR league, I need to pick up either Mark Clayton, Northcutt or Hilliard for this week. Can't decide.Who would you rather have Lee Evans or Mark Clayton?Anyone draft both?
Tough to decide Hilliard had 9 targets last week but plays a decent tennessee defense this week. Galloway did not practice wednesday. Team decision, whatever that means ?Northcutt had 7 targets last week but gets a soft Miami defense this weekClayton only had 4 targets last week but gets the soft Rams defense this week. Plus, Mason did not practice Yesterday due to illness ? Interesting, i just noticed Holt & Bruce did not practice yesterday. Bennett maybe is a decent play?I like Hilliard.Non PPR league, I need to pick up either Mark Clayton, Northcutt or Hilliard for this week. Northcutt's with Jax this year who plays Houston this week which is not so soft anymore...Tough to decide Hilliard had 9 targets last week but plays a decent tennessee defense this weekI like Hilliard.Non PPR league, I need to pick up either Mark Clayton, Northcutt or Hilliard for this week.
