Which aspect is the most important in a WR's success?

The big problem I had was speed & route running being together.

I'd much prefer I guy who can catch the ball. I'd don't require him to catch the ball even if he's being concussed a la Largent or Boldin, but a guy who can catch well can be the target of passes where the defenders can't get them even if he's not particularly open - low to the ground, near the sidelines, etc.

A guy who gets wide open & drops everything doesn't help you. They also seem to be correlated with guys who have size and/or speed, rather than pure route runners.

 
I look for things that can't be taught.

1. Hands - miracle catches get the attention of the QB throwing to them. Builds confidence.

2. Speed/strength ratio - a fast guy that can break the press is a keeper.

3. "My ball" mentality - if it's in the air, you know your guy is going to fight for it. Rarely quits on a play.
