The guy avg over 5.0 per carry last year/... i think he's a solid number 2 rb but seems like people just don't like him this year .
any reason why?

Some people are saying Gado v 2.0Boom or bust guy for a lot of people.Flash in the pan.
This is the way a lot of people see him and I am not going to say there are wrong. He went undrafted and we only have 1/2 a season of data to look at in order to evaluate. He looked great when he played last season. Disclaimer: I have him paired with ADP on a recently drafted team.Flash in the pan.
One big difference is that those players teams didn't give them 30 million dollar extensions after that season. That's pretty telling that the Packers at least expect him to be a stud. How about Samkon Gado, Nick Goings? Nobodies that found lightning in a bottle with the appropriate injuries/poor play of others. The next season...? Yeah.
What? Those guys certianly didn't "come out of nowhere".I just don't believe he's legit. You look at how many people cam from out of nowhere to put up good numbers for nearly half a season, and then went back to nowhere. It happens all the time. Sometimes those guys latch on and continue the success, most of the time they don't. I like to point out more notable names. Kevin Jones, William Green, Julius Jones from recent years.
Yeah, and on the other hand it worked out fine for Priest Holmes and Willie Parker. Don't base your argument on anecdotal evidence because there is always an anecdote ready to be thrown right back at you.How about Samkon Gado, Nick Goings? Well, say what you will. Grant certainly passed the "eyeball test" to me. He looked like a very talented back. I realize that is pure opinion though.Grant had a great season, on a great offense. My only issue, is I wonder how a Deshaun Foster would have done in the same offense. I'm not sold he would have sucked.
Not as much as you'd think, IMHO. It would have been "pretty major" 10 years ago, but 38 year old Brett Favre is not the same as 28 year old Brett Favre. Sure, he had a good season last year, but a lot of that can be attributed to the guys around him. The two years before he played very poorly when the team was bad around him. That's pretty much the definition of a mediocre QB, good when the team is good, bad when the team is bad. That's what Favre is at this point. He didn't suddenly physically and mentally return to his 28 year old state at the age of 38, when he was far from it at the ages of 36 and 37.Now, the only major turnover is Favre...but that is pretty major, eh?
Bjax had his chance. Guys don't get drafted, get handed the keys to the feature back roll on a silver platter, fail to the point that the job is handed to someone else, and end up becoming a huge part of the offense again. At least, it hasn't happened yet. If you feel that Bjax is the guy to change history in that regard, then you must think very highly of him. They drafted Brandon Jackson, who was pretty highly regarded. Many scouts and pundits said he'd have been the top Senior back had he stayed. (Im not going to get into an argument on that, it's just something people were saying this time last year). He evidently had some talent. I think he'll eat into Grant's carries this year, and as outrageous as I know it sounds to the rest of the board, I don't expect Grant to enter 2009 as the starter.
