So I was pondering this the other day while I was out with the family picking apples...Apples aren't my favorite fruit, but some people love them...Vote on your favorite raw, uncooked, uncomplicated fruit. Not in a pie, not covered in sweet toppings...not sugar covered, not salt covered for you watermelon sadists...JUST the fruit.

I know the categories are subjective. Those of you living in a tropical climate probably have a lot more fruit than I have listed here. Categorize as best you can. For those of you who have a strange favorite fruit (Durian, Rambutan, other whacky ####), you might just have to improvise or choose "Other."

I'm curious what the outcome will be...And also how someone will turn this political, racial, about guns, or about domestic violence...

the rest (including all other apples)

So I voted "berries"... but Honeycrisp wins the battle royale if it wasn't being dragged down by pink ladies and red delicious

Not a huge fan of fruit.

1st tier

Pineapple

Grapes

2nd tier

Apples,pears, peach

lemon, watermelon, banana

The rest.

Despise berries.

Where is there not a fruit fan option?? I only will eat cantaloupe if it's ripe and sweet and black bing cherries that are sweet and crunchy.Bananas are ok too. I can and do without all the rest of em.. I don't hate fruit, just doesn't draw me unless someone puts the plate in front of me and it looks good.

I voted the stone fruits.

Two of my favorite raw fruits are cherries and nectarines. Strawberries are right there too, but I'm not a big fan of all the other berries.

Everybody has a favorite...even of things they don't like. For example, my favorite basketball team is the Wizards, but in general, I could give two ##### about basketball.

Chinese Pear is awesome.

Right up there with a Sumo Orange.
Love these (don't love the price). About to google Sumo Orange.
So speaking of Asian Pears and the price...The whole reason I was duped into going to this orchard is that last year they had 2 things I LOVED. The best dang apple cider I've ever had, and pick-your-own Asian Pears for $1.50/lb. We went last year and the issue was that most of the better Asian Pears were picked. The only good ones left on the tree were WAY high up. This year, I came with a walking stick that doubled as a way to get the high-up Pears. Well...come to find out they cut down all their Asian Pear trees to plant more apple trees. F me.

So moral of the story is...if you can find a local place that grows them, they can be had for cheap...

Avocado followed closely buy Honeycrisp Apples

ETA: I love fruit though. Mangos, strawberries, watermelon, grapes, etc. are all great.

Glad to see Stone fruits, non-tropical listed. Next to their Tropical Goodness, it's my favorite Bolthouse Farms juice.

Love a good ripe pineapple now and then but could not eat it all the time. I eat blueberries almost everyday....Just thinking that I go through a 5lb bag of frozen blueberries a month in protein shakes and oatmeal or whatever. 60lbs a year of blueberries so it must be my favorite.
