Grilled on a stick. Marinated with Lime Juice, Cilantro, and Garlic.

I don't like shrimp, but at least I'm not allergic to them like I am peanuts.
*tangent alert*Yeeeesh, that must be a job in itself - always being on the lookout for food with peanuts. :o

Simple peel and eat shrimp, hot, with plenty of Old Bay and beer. Shrimp tempura kicks butt too.

Gumbo would be high on my list, but the gumbo is about the roux, not the shrimp.

[bubba]Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... That's, that's about it.[/bubba]

Dont know if its another name on that list, but up here we have garlic shrimp. Nothing like shrimp cooked and served in a sauce of garlic butter. :excited:

I took that under the scampi category.

quick & easy shrimp suggestion if want to impress but don't have the time:

50/50 honey mustard & lemon juice.

Marinate 15-30 minutes, skewer and grill

(also works well with 1" chunks of hearty fish)

I know it doesn't sound good (I personally don't like hony mustard) but it turns out AWESOME.

BTW - "Grilled" should really be on the poll...

If you've ever had the barbeque shrimp at Pascal's Manale, then you'd have to vote for barbeque...

Jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with mozzarella swimming in a pool of bernaise sause atop a pile of steamed rice.

It is? Honest question, but isn't roux just butter and flour used to thicken the gumbo?Maybe I'm being food ig'nant here and just don't know the word as you are using it.

<Bubba> Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it. </Bubba>

Sea Monkeys.

And if you need Sea Men, I think there's a guy in the alley that will let you suck them out of a tube. /south park

No Ama-Ebi option?

Ama Ebi (ah-mah-eh-bee) - Sweet Shrimp, Red Prawns. Always served raw on nigirizushi. Sometimes served with the deep-fried shells of the shrimp. Eat the shells like you would crayfish.

Peel & Eat (Cold)

Best shrimp I EVER had was down in Naples, we drove down to the Fishermans Wharf area, bought shrimp right off the boat, and had the cook at the bar on the pier boil them up for us..
